"Let's start with the positives:
1. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the rooms are clean and the location is excellent, making it a great choice for a trip to Hangzhou.
2. The breakfast at the revolving restaurant offers good food, refilled quickly, and you can enjoy views of West Lake, which is a nice touch.
3. The staff is highly professional, from housekeeping to the greeters, everyone is polite and resolves issues efficiently.
Some objective areas for improvement:
1. The walls show signs of age; a simple touch-up to remove peeling paint and dirt could significantly improve the room's appearance upon entry.
2. The strong air freshener in the hallway made the damp, musty smell inside the room even more noticeable.
3. Although Wi-Fi is available on each floor, the speed is slow, and I had to switch to mobile data in the bathroom to get a stable connection.
4. The soundproofing in the hallway is very poor. During holidays, with many guests returning late at night, I could clearly hear conversations, children screaming, and footsteps. Though, this might be a difficult issue to fix.
Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would consider trying a higher floor room next time."
