"The room is clean and spacious, facilities are great, and the staff are super friendly. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station though. Since it’s converted from an old commercial building, you have to climb about 10 steps through the mall to get up to the hotel, not the most convenient if you’ve got big luggage. Also, at night some of the mall doors get locked, so you might need to ask security how to get in, which is a bit of a hassle. Overall, it’s more suitable for business travelers than leisure ones."

"The Hotel is located in the convenience transportation Location. Easy for traveling to other areas, close to the hotel also having fast food and convenience store. The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. "The location is great, right by the main road and not a far walk from the MRT. The breakfast offered a decent variety of choices, not overly extensive but not too limited either. The staff provided excellent service. One day, we had to leave the hotel early for a trip out of town, before breakfast hours. We asked if the hotel could arrange breakfast for us, and they kindly packed it in a lovely box. Many thanks!"

"pros: - accessible to central park station which is red line straight to zuoying station for hsr - opp central park for the xmas market - 10 mins walk to liuhe night market - 5 mins walknto shinkuchan street - lounge with excellent side dishes and snacks with free draft beer in the noon and night. - staff are very friendly and helpful -gave a free bag of bakery upon checkin - late checkout at 12pm cons: - no washing machine on site - no toothbrush provided (think it is a norm across taiwan) - seating area in lounge limited especially during happy hours"

"The room is spacious and clean, and it's conveniently located near the train station, just a short walk away. There are also a few convenient stores nearby. Overall, it's a very convenient location. However, the staff is quite unfriendly. They will charge you extra if you're slightly late for check-out, even though they claim to have already reminded you. They don't seem to give any grace period."

"I stayed there for 3 nights during Twice’s concert. They gave us some snack and refreshments on the concert night🥰 What they can improve is sanity issue. It would be better if the trash can next to the toilet has a lit to keep the gerns inside since there is no handheld bidet. Also the entrance is not noticeable at night. The hotel’s sight is noticeable at day time, but at night there is no light shined on the sign. It’s better if guests arrive at day time. The room size is big. There are snacks, coffee and tea at the common area for free. Free drinking water, hot water, towels, every necessity for a night stay."

"The hotel was nice. The Bathroom was clean and nice hot shower. The water pressure was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the Air conditioning was nice. The staff were helpful. During my stay, I felt peaceful and there was no noise. The only thing I felt uncomfortable was the lighting. I felt the bathroom lighting was very dim. There were only 2 small light bulbs in the bathroom. I feel the bathroom should be well lit. The bathroom was dim and dark. "

The neighborhood is filled with street art, converted warehouses, cafés, and galleries, making it a perfect place to wander around both during the day and in the evening. Being able to walk back to the hotel after exploring the area was a big plus. One of the things that makes PAPO’A Harbor Hotel unique is its character. The building used to be a harbor staff dormitory and has been thoughtfully renovated into a boutique hotel. The design blends industrial elements with modern minimal touches, giving the space a calm and slightly artistic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Pier-2 district. Our room was simple but very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the room was clean, and everything felt well maintained. While the hotel focuses more on design and location than luxury facilities, it provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Some rooms even offer partial views of the harbor, which adds to the experience of staying in this port city. Another great advantage is transportation. The Light Rail stop is only a few minutes away, making it easy to reach other parts of Kaohsiung such as Love River, Central Park, or connect to the MRT system. Overall, PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is a lovely boutique stay for travelers who appreciate design, convenience, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. It may not be a large luxury hotel, but its charm, location, and unique character make it a memorable place to stay in Kaohsiung."

"Location is excellent, only about a 7-minute walk to Liuhe Night Market, which makes getting food & shopping very convenient. The room itself is spacious, clean & comfortable. Housekeeping standards were good & overall the stay was pleasant. However, the laundry facilities were a disappointment. There are only two washing machines, both are top-load, & the dryer did not seem to work properly. The laundry area was almost always very crowded, which made it inconvenient to use. The hotel should really consider upgrading to better washing machines & more efficient dryers, especially for guests staying multiple nights. Overall, a good stay for location & room comfort, but laundry facilities definitely need improvement."
