"This hotel is absolutely amazing! I did a lot of research and looked at many hotels before my trip, and I'm so glad I chose this one. The taxi driver from Shantou dropped us off at the wrong location, so I called the host, and he immediately came to pick us up and even helped us carry our luggage upstairs – so thoughtful! When we entered the room, we were genuinely wowed by the 270-degree sea view. It was so stunning we didn't even want to go out for meals, so we ended up ordering six deliveries. The location is also fantastic; food delivery in Houzai usually arrives within 15 to 30 minutes. To avoid traffic, we opted for an electric scooter to explore the island. We got a discount on the scooter rental through the owner, who also gave us a lovely assortment of local souvenirs. For someone like me who struggles with choosing souvenirs, it was perfect because there was a variety of everything, so I could try them before buying more to take home! My child also really enjoyed a relaxing bath in the tub at night. The owner even provided bath towels, a disposable tub liner, and a disposable toilet seat cover."

"It's super convenient to order takeout here, and it's just a short walk to the beach or the promenade for food and sightseeing. The suite we booked with our child was very convenient and even offered a sea view. The guesthouse has a shared kitchen fully equipped with pots, pans, a fridge, and an air fryer, etc. Downstairs, there's a market where you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. The front desk also has beach toys for guests to borrow, and when we checked out, they even gave us a fridge magnet and seaweed as gifts. The service was excellent, and we had a very pleasant stay."

When traveling with kids, the most important things are food, accommodation, and transportation. Since we have two little ones, we decided to book a private car for an island tour 🚙, which saved us the hassle of finding taxis. Then, we booked a comfortable guesthouse with sea views. We chose a two-bedroom, one-living room suite, which was perfect for our family of two adults and two children. The guesthouse has a sea-view restaurant, an infinity pool, and a swing by the sea... It's absolutely perfect for taking kids to play! My daughters had such a great time! 😁 I especially want to highlight their breakfast! The variety was super rich, catering to all tastes. "This was my first time visiting Nan'ao Island, and I stayed at this guesthouse. First off, it's right by the sea in Houzhai Town, making it super convenient to get around the island by bus. I got off at the visitor center, and one of the staff members picked me up in an electric cart. The location is easy to find, and the room is beautiful with all new facilities. It has a floor-to-ceiling window where you can sit and enjoy tea. Definitely try to stay on the 5th floor for the best view; there's an elevator. Downstairs, you can rent electric scooters by scanning a QR code for 60 yuan a day. It's probably 20 yuan more expensive than the ones on the street, but it's very convenient. The owner recommended A Wu Restaurant, which was quite good, reasonably priced, and delicious. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would definitely come back if I have the chance."

"Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful. The view was fantastic, and the scenery was beautiful, but there was a lot of trash on the opposite shore. Cons: The room's decor felt cheap, especially the mattress—the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. It was a folding mattress, extremely hard, like sleeping on a wooden board. The crease in the middle bulged, and whenever I slept on my side, my hip would hurt after less than a minute. I couldn't sleep well all night and couldn't even turn over. Also, the surrounding area was very cramped; taking a taxi to Qing'ao Bay or Houzhai Town required extra payment. I hope the owner can improve the interior design to provide a better experience for customers!"

"The owner and staff were very welcoming; the male owner even helped with our luggage and offered drinks and tea. The pillows and bed in the room were very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. It's located right on top of the lighthouse, making it very convenient to get there. At night, it's very quiet as passing drivers don't honk their horns. There's also a stargazing and swimming pool on the roof, which we didn't have time to try. I would definitely stay here again next time."
