"We stayed for three nights and had a room with one single bed and one king-size bed. The mattresses were very comfortable, allowing us to rest well after long days. One small improvement would be to have another mirror in the room, as there is currently only one in the bathroom. The hotel is beautiful and very conveniently located, close to Dukezong Ancient Town, making it easy to explore the area. Just a few shops away, there is a large basement shopping center where we could buy instant noodles, which was helpful since we weren’t fully used to the local food. There are also familiar options like KFC, McDonald's, and Pizza nearby, making meals convenient. Breakfast was decent, though not entirely to our taste. Overall, the hotel offers a great combination of comfort, convenience, and location. A special mention goes to Lamu, the owner, who is incredibly kind and attentive. She always checked in on us, reminded us to stay hydrated, and even kindly dropped us off at the train station. Her warmth and hospitality truly made our stay memorable, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La."

"Satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied! The butler contacted us in advance to arrange pick-up and drop-off, and created a service group beforehand to answer all our questions about our trip. When we couldn't close the window at night or turn off the bathroom's exhaust fan, the butler came to our rescue in just one minute. The service was absolutely amazing! The room facilities were complete, clean, and bright! The large window offered a view of snow-capped mountains and a vast grassland, all under a blue sky with white clouds. I just lay on the bed and gazed out; the beautiful scenery was all right there! And the bedding, oh my goodness, oh my goodness! So comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud, and I slept incredibly soundly! The breakfast offered a choice of Western or Chinese, both with full sincerity! Afternoon tea was provided for free. I remember at night, the butlers would knock on doors, carrying steaming white fungus soup, delivering sweet night-time treats to each family. It warmed my heart, and it tasted delicious! We also participated in a free 'fireplace tea ceremony' at the fifth-floor cafe, and got to experience butter tea and ******* tsampa for free. It was a serene atmosphere, sitting by the fire, learning to make tsampa – a wonderful experience! The complimentary travel photoshoot was incredible! There were many scenes without other people, and we had a great time shooting with the large prayer flags, small sheep, and swings! The photos turned out great! No one else around! That's very important! I was really happy with the photos! We were independent travelers, and Didi (ride-hailing service) had no problem dropping us off at the entrance and taking us to scenic spots! Thank you to the butlers for accompanying us all the way to the train station! Highly recommended! Ten-star recommendation! Especially good! Excellent value for money! Malaysians, just go for this one! Super duper good! TERBAIK!"

"It's been four days since my Yunnan trip ended, and seven since I left Shangri-La. I'll never forget those two sunny, windy days in Shangri-La; it felt like I was so close to the sky, with clouds almost within reach. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly. The B&B owner, a super enthusiastic young woman, even provided a pick-up service, waiting at the entrance to help with our luggage, and gifted us our first Hada! She left us with an excellent first impression of the city. The B&B itself is beautifully decorated; stepping inside, you immediately feel a sense of peace and beauty. There are also adorable dogs and a free library. My stay was too short to pick out books and relax with them, but having a library in a B&B is cool in itself! The location is super close to the North Gate, and it was very quiet the night we stayed. My companion experienced altitude sickness, and the oxygen concentrator provided helped a lot. Our room also had underfloor heating, but the duvet was already quite thick when we visited, so we didn't need to use it. The Old Town was lively at night; I spent the last hour before turning in spinning prayer wheels and dancing with everyone in the square – it felt so free and romantic! During the day, the Old Town was peaceful, with intense sun and a bright blue sky. I explored many small shops, buying lots of cute fridge magnets and postcards. When we left, the B&B owner and a young man saw us off to our car, just as they had welcomed us. Everyone was so kind! I'll definitely visit Shangri-La again and hope the weather is just as good next time. May the owner's B&B thrive even more! Tashi Delek!"

"First off, the service was exceptional. As soon as we landed, someone was at the airport entrance to pick us up and take us to the guesthouse. The staff were very friendly and approachable; the aunties were kind, and the young men were enthusiastic. They were all easy to talk to, and you could voice any reasonable requests you had. Secondly, the decor was exquisite, featuring rosewood furniture with beautifully carved beams and painted pillars. A guesthouse truly showcases its owner's wealth and taste through the arrangement and setup of its furnishings, and the owner here clearly has excellent taste. When I arrive in a new city, I pay close attention to its culture and people. A guesthouse can offer a glimpse into the local character and cultural expression. The welcome afternoon tea included delicious beef jerky. After examining its cross-section and its fibrous texture, I believe it's authentic yak jerky. Finally, the location is convenient, very close to Dukezong Ancient City. When I wanted to buy souvenirs before leaving, it was just a short walk away, and they even offered free shipping. Plus, the guesthouse is well-oxygenated, equipped with medical oxygen concentrators and floor heating, ensuring safety and comfort."

"Service: Excellent. The host is friendly, nice and very helpful despite the language barrier. You may refer to them if you need help on Didi, Potatso tour,Shangri-La Ski resort, etc. They also help send us to the train station early morning upon request. I feel very grateful for their kind and welcoming gestures. Facilities: We got a room with automatic bidet which I am really grateful for. The room and toilet is squeaky clean. The exterior and surrounding is also clean. On 1st floor, there is a washing machine with a dryer. There is a spot on 1st floor where you chill outdoor and eat with nice view. No lift but they will help you carry luggage. They have rooms at grd floor and 1st floor. Location: Strategic. Nearby Halal eatery (Lanzhou Lamian), mini market, also there is place if you want to rent traditional outfit, all is very near and easily accessible in 1-3min walk. Didi can access and drop you off in front of the homestay itself so easy to carry your luggage. Thumbs up. I totally recommend you to stay here 100% no doubt."

"The room was spotless and spacious, very comfortable. They even thoughtfully provided disposable cups, face towels, and bath towels. The room also had an oxygen supply system and smart home controls throughout. The guesthouse is very close to the ancient city center; it’s just a few minutes' walk out the back door. The owner was also wonderful. Originally, pickup was the only service included, but when we checked out, they asked what time our train was and proactively drove us to the station. They even gave us a souvenir each, which was incredibly thoughtful. I forgot to take photos of the room and the guesthouse environment. In a nutshell: great environment, excellent service, and fantastic value for money."

"Hotel room is big and i love that the shower & toilet are separate. It is located near the famous prayer wheel, around 10 mins walk. The location is near to ancient town however the car can still stop in front of the hotel, so very convenient whenever we want to order didi. The room has underfloor heating which always on 24 hours and the bathroom also have heater so it always make us warm eventhough outside temperature is minus. Breakfast also taste delicious, you can choose between rice noodle / porridge & barley pancake. And the owner is also very nice, last minute he still willing to pick us up from the railway station and even offer to drop us off to the airport on our check out day, what a very nice gesture. This hotel is very value for money and i would definitely stay here again when i come back to shangrila next time!"
