"Facilities: The suite was spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and having two TVs, a bathtub, and a smart toilet made it perfect for families. The hotel truly embraces the garden hotel concept, with rooms spread across one or two floors. If you're traveling with elderly family members, I recommend choosing a ground-floor room, as I heard there's no elevator to the second floor.
Cleanliness: The room was spotless, and the decorations and lounge areas in the common spaces were all very tidy. I was particularly impressed by the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offered a 'step-by-step' scenic view and were incredibly clean. You could easily take photos of peacocks, Furong Garden, and even the distant Big Wild Goose Pagoda ā I was very pleased.
Environment: This is simply top-notch! The unlimited access to Datang Furong Garden and its location right inside the scenic area makes it all worthwhile. I was also surprised at how quiet the room was despite being in such a bustling area. Even during the Chang'an Lantern Festival, I could lie in my room with the window open and it wasn't overly noisy. Taking photos of the garden scenery within the hotel grounds was beautiful, and it's just a 2-minute walk into Furong Garden. Especially when the crowds are surging, being able to experience both the vibrant atmosphere and the peaceful solitude here was amazing.
Service: Because it was during the Spring Festival, check-in at the front desk was a little slow. However, the young ladies serving breakfast were very enthusiastic. It happened to be the fifth day of the ***** New Year, welcoming the God of Wealth, and we even encountered the hotel's 'God of Wealth' who gave us chocolate gold coins ā thank you! The three security guards at the entrance to Datang Furong Garden were all wonderful. Seeing that we had elderly people with us, they always opened the door for us in advance and reminded us to be careful. The hotel's reception staff also showed the same care. During breakfast, a child at the next table climbed up on a chair while his parents were getting food, and a staff member gently intervened and even played with the child, showing more patience than the child's own family. This shows that the hotel's training in service awareness for its employees is truly excellent, meaning those traveling with children and elderly family members can stay here with peace of mind. Oh, and the 'he-luo' noodles and 'you-cha' (oil tea) at breakfast were delicious.
A small suggestion: Could you please add soy milk to the breakfast spread? Also, the milk and other beverages could use larger containers. I saw the service staff refilling the small pitchers repeatedly, and it seemed like three guests could empty one in no time. Another thing is that delivery drivers can bring food directly to the room, which was fine for us traveling in a group. But I worry that a solo guest might feel uneasy. Using robots or having the front desk deliver, which is a common practice, would be much better, especially since our hotel ranks among the top ones! Once again, thank you to every staff member and security guard. Wishing you all a prosperous Year of the Horse!"
