"I stayed in Building No. 8 of Yangzhou Yingbin Hotel, and overall, the experience was quite good. The hotel boasts a garden-style layout, with charming bridges over streams and the delightful sound of birdsong throughout, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. Its proximity to Slender West Lake is a major plus, as the hotel even has a direct gate leading into the scenic area, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Building No. 8 is also right next to Quyuan Teahouse, so you can enjoy authentic Yangzhou dim sum without even leaving the hotel – a truly fantastic experience. While the room's amenities might seem a bit standard compared to newer hotels (no smart toilet or screen casting on the TV), they are very complete. Thoughtful details like the tea and coffee bar and turndown service demonstrate the high standard of service. However, due to a last-minute travel plan, the room type in Building No. 8 didn't allow for an extra bed, so I had no choice but to opt for a north-facing family room. Unfortunately, there's a construction site directly opposite the room, and the noisy clatter of iron pipes being unloaded in the early morning, along with the sound of workers arguing, was quite disruptive for light sleepers."

"This is the best hotel I have ever stayed so far this time visiting China in the past November. Five stars of everything! From the moment I arrived at hotel, I felt like a VIP. The front desk staff greeted me by name, expedited check-in, and offered a welcome fruit package which set a perfect tone for the stay. "From before check-in all the way through my stay, Sunny (Director Wen) provided a lot of practical advice and even helped upgrade my room. The lake view was fantastic, and I had a great stay. The Horizon Club service and the food at Shang Palace left a deep impression. Of all my experiences staying at Shangri-La, this was by far the best!"

The attentive staff proactively offered us a free room upgrade, an unexpected treat that set a warm tone for our entire trip. The upgraded room felt like a hidden gem. It was spacious, with a sleek and modern design thanks to its recent renovation. What truly delighted us were the numerous details: the smooth audio-visual experience of the Huawei smart screen, the premium feel of the Dyson hairdryer, the uniquely designed kettle, and the exquisite HCK mini-fridge… every item perfectly blended aesthetic appeal with practical functionality. The two-meter-wide bed offered just the right amount of support, instantly enveloping us in tranquility. Located in a quiet corner, the room ensured a deep, undisturbed sleep all night long. The most ingenious touch in the room was undoubtedly the curtain separating the wash area from the bed—it clearly delineated functional zones without compromising the space's openness and brightness, striking a perfect balance between utility and aesthetics. "I booked the cheapest room type, which was a semi-basement room. When I opened the window, I saw a solid wall, but I could still see a small patch of sky. The hot spring pool was like a large bathtub, located indoors. ‼️Tips: I thought Ctrip had the lowest price, but I was ripped off: **there's a group purchase deal available, but you need to book one day in advance. On weekends, there's an additional 200 RMB charge, but even with the surcharge, it's still over 200 RMB cheaper than Ctrip.** Hygiene: The water glasses and coffee cups had obvious stains. Service: When I arrived, they wouldn't let me check in before 3 PM. However, on my check-out day, around 8 AM, the housekeeping staff were already cleaning the vacated room next door. They were making a lot of noise, clattering things around, and talking loudly to each other. I was woken up by the noise, which made for a very bad experience. The hotel is very close to Slender West Lake, just a few minutes' walk away, which is great."

"I strongly recommend this hotel to all friends who are going to Yangzhou for tourism - Slender West Lake Songcheng Resort Hotel. It is the best hotel I have stayed in so far. First of all, the hotel is very cost-effective, including tickets to Slender West Lake, hot spring tickets and morning tea in Fun Garden. Secondly, the service is great. Every staff member is warm, considerate and meticulous. I would like to especially thank the duty manager Mr. Ma Jun. My mother has Alzheimer's disease and ran out of the hotel by herself at night. After I asked the front desk for help, Manager Ma who was on duty that day immediately checked the video and then rode a bicycle in the direction where my mother went for nearly an hour. Finally, I found my mother at the west gate of Songjiacheng. Our whole family is extremely grateful and warm. As a fellow villager who goes back to Yangzhou to visit relatives and friends every year, I feel honored and proud that my hometown has such a perfect hotel!"

"A great hotel! Clean, new. And empty.  I came to work trip for 3 nights. Because of the small filling, instead of the Swedish table for breakfast, I chose from the evening in the menu than I will have breakfast. The room naturally asked with a beautiful view and settled on the 4th floor, a view to the lake. Very beautiful.  The air conditioner worked perfectly. Given that the room was warm on the +5 street.  Cleaned every day. Every day they changed towels, put new slippers and fine brushes. It was very surprising. Usually only slippers all the time of arrival.  I'm very happy. If I come back from this city, I'll definitely choose the same hotel."
