Scenic Hotels in Yangzhou

"We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Courtyard King Room (1st floor with courtyard) in Building 8, Furong Garden. To break it down: Building 8 is close to Slender West Lake (not lakeside, but within walking distance). The 'Mountain View' rooms overlook a green forest, while 'Water View' rooms face an inner courtyard pond. If you want a small courtyard, definitely choose a 1st-floor room; I assume rooms on the second floor and above are called 'scenic view' rooms. I took some photos of the exteriors of rooms 105 and 108 during cleaning for everyone's reference. **Amenities:** Yangzhou in early summer was hot and humid, but having a small courtyard made it feel much more open. I can only imagine how pleasant it would be to drink tea there when it's cooler. The mattress firmness was perfect for me (not too soft), and the air conditioning was quiet with stable temperature control. The room came with a dehumidifier, which was very practical, especially after hanging clothes. The staff even brought over a drying rack when they came for turndown service and helped set it up – a definite plus. The bathtub came with Bvlgari toiletries, and Evian water was provided (they were generous with replenishments). I can't quite remember how many mini-bar items there were, four or five perhaps. The first round was complimentary, and they didn't check it upon checkout. A large bottle of Nongfu Spring water was also provided for tea, which was appropriate for the price point. **Service:** Throughout our stay, the service was comfortable and stress-free. From the lobby to the butler, every staff member was professional and patient, answering questions clearly and efficiently. The shuttle service within the garden was on-call; whether by WeChat or phone, we rarely waited more than a few minutes – completely hassle-free. **Additional tips on dining and attractions:** We didn't plan much in advance, mostly checking things on the fly and asking the butler. A small suggestion for the hotel: it might be helpful to compile frequently asked questions and relevant local information to proactively send to guests. **Quyuan Teahouse:** Turn right out of Building 8's lobby, cross two small bridges, and you're there. We had both breakfast and dinner there. The prices are on the higher side, but the experience was well worth it. For breakfast on Saturday, we got a number at 8 AM and walked right in. For dinner, we were also among the first to be seated at 5 PM (Note: some rooms in Building 8 have windows directly facing the teahouse, so if this is a concern, you can inquire with the front desk beforehand). **Slender West Lake:** During the day, you can enter directly from the stone bridge next to the teahouse (admission fee applies). For night tours, you need to take the shuttle to the hotel's south gate, walk along the asphalt road to the main road, and then cross a bridge past the pedicabs to reach the south gate. The night boat tour is not recommended; the views are limited, and it's purely for transport. However, the park's night performance is worth seeing, especially since you're already there. **A small reminder:** Building 8 is not waterside, so if you're looking for a lake view right outside your window, you'll need to choose another building. Also, as regular guests, we didn't experience many high-end services, but based on our personal experience, our three-day, two-night stay far exceeded expectations. This room type is a definite recommend!"

"I chose this hotel based on the numerous positive reviews, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Being a French brand, the hotel boasts a very artistic design. Opening the room door was a pleasant surprise, as we had a canal view right from the window. All the amenities demonstrated thoughtful, human-centered design. Almost all the staff we encountered during our two-day stay were polite and dedicated, making us feel right at home. We've traveled extensively and seen a lot, and it's rare to find a hotel with such well-trained staff. The hotel breakfast, as other guests mentioned, was indeed abundant and delicious. What touched us most was when our car was blocked by another guest's improper parking. After the hotel helped resolve the issue, they went above and beyond to apologize by giving our long-distance-travel-stained car a thorough wash. They even delivered the complimentary evening snacks to our room! The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Dongguan Street scenic area, where you can find everything from food to entertainment, all with a distinctive Yangzhou flavor. If we visit Yangzhou again, we will definitely choose Mercure Hotel."

"True to Hilton's reputation, the rooms were fantastic and breakfast was excellent. I'm looking forward to your restaurant's upgrade being completed; I heard the Hampton restaurant is also great, but unfortunately, I didn't get to try it. **Facilities:** Well-equipped **Cleanliness:** Extremely neat and clean **Environment:** Comfortable and peaceful **Service:** Thoughtful and attentive"

"We drove from Qingdao to Yangzhou last night and arrived a little after 10 PM. I saw the staff wiping down the cars parked in front of the hotel, and they even put covers on them in the morning. All the staff members were incredibly enthusiastic. They helped us with our luggage, and when my dad casually mentioned he was hungry, they immediately offered him some small pastries to tide him over, even though we were planning to drop off our bags and go for barbecue. The soft drinks in the fridge were complimentary, and the room was very comfortable. For the buffet breakfast, I ordered Yangchun noodles, and a staff member brought them over to me after they were prepared. When checking out, they even asked if I needed any water. All the little details were excellent. I'm genuinely curious how such a team is managed, as every single person provided great service. After a week of travel and having stayed in numerous five-star hotels before, my mom said the service here was exceptional, and we'll definitely stay here again when we come back to Yangzhou."

"Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped. We booked a twin room and came to Yangzhou with our child. The front desk even proactively told us we could push the beds together. Cleanliness: Excellent cleanliness, one of the best for a hotel in this price range. There's also a laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes, which is super important given the weather in Yangzhou. Environment: Good sound insulation, and the double curtains offer both privacy and light. There's also a small table in the room. Picture 2 shows us eating Yangzhou duck on the hotel's small table. We also ordered takeout, and they delivered it directly to our room, which we really appreciate 💕. The background of picture 3 is the bathroom. Coming out of the bathroom, there's a clothes hanging closet ➡️ mirror ➡️ clothes folding closet. Service: Full marks for service. Although we didn't book a Hanfu photoshoot or have ice cream, we had a very pleasant stay 😋. Additional notes: The location here is excellent. There are dim sum restaurants right outside, and it's very close to Caiyi Lane and Dongguan Street. Another note: Don't eat at those places in Caiyi Lane that ask if you want to eat; they're terrible. We tried two places, and they were so bad 🤧. In the end, we found a pretty good 138-yuan four-person meal deal on Douyin. Although it was a high-volume place, it tasted much better than those hawkers. Picture 4 is the meal."

The natural hot spring water is wonderfully warm and soft, with a generous number of outdoor pools. The unique ice therapy area is a highlight, perfect for fitness enthusiasts looking to recover. The garden environment is highly photogenic, and the service is prompt and responsive. We recommend the stay package, as unlimited hot spring access offers better value for money. The only downsides are that public areas can get crowded on holidays, and the basic room types are standard in size. It's ideal for short getaways, wellness, and relaxation, balancing leisure with sports recovery needs."

The location is excellent, making it convenient for taking taxis and exploring shopping districts. It offers superb value for money. This hotel is perfect for both short trips and business stays. "It takes only 1 minute to walk to Zhiweibao to taste the new Huaiyang cuisine. It takes 4 minutes to walk to Bixiangju Tea House across the street from the hotel to enjoy refreshments. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to Pishi Street and Heyuan. It is close to the ancient canal, and you can walk along the river to the Muslim Mecca-Puhaddin Garden. The front desk service is warm. The store turns on the air conditioner in the room in advance, so you can experience the appropriate temperature when you check in. The hair dryer is very useful. The jasmine white tea and tangerine peel white tea provided by the hotel taste good. When checking out, the temperature in Yangzhou rose, and a few bottles of mineral water were sent thoughtfully."
