"Although the room was a bit small, it was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and efficiently designed. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and easy to use, and it even came with a washing machine and a microwave. After admiring the night view from Mount Hakodate in the evening, by 9 PM the streets were deserted and all the shops were closed for the night. So, we simply bought some delicious food from a convenience store, warmed it up back at the hotel, and enjoyed a truly comfortable and satisfying meal. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the JR station. Popular attractions like Hachiman-zaka Slope, the Red Brick Warehouses, and the Mount Hakodate Ropeway are all within easy walking distance, which was incredibly convenient."

"I've stayed in many hotels, and this one definitely ranks among the best in terms of service. I arrived quite late, but the front desk staff still greeted me warmly and helped with my luggage. The room was cozy, and they even provided welcome fruit and snacks—a truly thoughtful touch. The next day, I was in a rush and didn't have time for breakfast, but the hotel unexpectedly prepared a packed breakfast for me to enjoy on the road. "The hotel looks old from the outside, but once you enter, you will feel that everything from the lobby to the rooms has been renovated. The door of the private bath room near the sea is closed, so you can hardly hear the sound of the sea. The sound insulation seems to be good. The service is in line with expectations at this price point."

"The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Hakodate JR Station. The absolute highlight was the incredibly extensive breakfast, offering a wide variety of dishes including ramen and sashimi. Another major plus was the rooftop hot spring (onsen), which boasted fantastic views and was perfect for unwinding. On the same floor as the onsen, there's a snack bar open until 11 PM, where you can conveniently charge items like ramen, takoyaki, and ice cream directly to your room card. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay."

"La Vista Hakodate Bay exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — within walking distance to major spots like the red brick warehouse and Mt. Hakodate ropeway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely nostalgic Japanese feel. The rooftop onsen was absolutely amazing, especially with the open-air bath overlooking the night view of Hakodate. The free late-night ramen was a nice surprise! Most of all, I want to thank a female staff member who gave us the best service I’ve experienced in Japan. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed two nights, one room only and one with dinner and breakfast. Overall satisfactory experience 1) superb view of public onsen at top floor facing the sea 2) good buffet breakfast with nice seafood collection 3) very good dinner set (we upgrade from buffet which is the general option) 4) one of the newer onsen hotels in 湯之川 opened in 2017 only. Will recommend !"

"The stunning ocean view was incredibly relaxing. The foot bath directly faces the sea, offering a breathtaking vista. The rooftop outdoor hot spring was quite small, which was a bit disappointing. The glass panels were murky and stained, and we could clearly see the rooftops of nearby buildings, which were uncomfortably close, so privacy was a significant concern. In contrast, the hot spring on the first floor was quite good. After a refreshing soak, there's a wonderful relaxation area where you can enjoy coffee while gazing at the sea – absolutely fantastic. The buffet breakfast and dinner were fairly average. Perhaps it was because the hotel was packed with tour groups and elementary school field trips, but the food replenishment couldn't keep up with the demand. Despite this, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly."

"The hotel is located in Yukawa Onsen Street in Hakodate Because it is a historical building, the floors are not high. "Great! The room has its own sea view hot spring. It is so pleasant to watch the sunrise in the morning and take a bath! The breakfast is also very good! You can sit in a sea view seat if you stay in Huayue! After breakfast, it is so comfortable to sit in a rocking chair in the lobby downstairs and bask in the sun!"

"I stayed here when I went to Hakodate for a live show. It was about a 10-minute walk from Hakodate Arena, it has a hot spring, a hotel with an ocean view, and there is a 24-hour Hasegawa store within walking distance, and it was a great choice. The sunlight pours in through the large windows, so even though it is late January in the middle of winter, you don't have to turn on the heater. You can relax with the sound of the ocean in the background. The open-air bath is like an infinity pool, and the ocean is right in front of you, so you can stay in it forever. The bus to Hakodate Station leaves almost right in front, there is a convenience store nearby, and the 24-hour Hasegawa store is just a short walk away, so it is very convenient. There is no need to rush to get on public transportation after the arena live show, you can drink at a nearby izakaya until the sun sets and then go home, and the front desk is open 24 hours a day, so it was reassuring. Whenever I go to Hakodate, I always stay around Hakodate Station, but this was such a great encounter that I think I will stay at this hotel in the future!"
