"We booked 5 rooms, double bed room located at G floor, twin bed room located at 2nd & 3rd floor. All the rooms facing swimming pool. The location is great! Walking distance to night market, Mekong river and morning alm. The room is spacious and clean, I like the environment, staffs are super friendly and helpful. They help us to carry the luggage upstairs. Breakfast not bad. Great value stay 👍🏻"

"A wonderful hostel. Very helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The dorm rooms are classic and unassuming, but perfectly adequate and offer enough privacy. It's a great property with a pool and a restaurant (delicious food). The location is superb, as you're just a few minutes from the center of Luang Prabang but can also easily escape the hustle and bustle – so there's something for everyone. I actually wanted to extend my stay, but the hostel was fully booked, which is why I sadly had to switch hostels. This gave me a good comparison of just how great Jam Hostel is."

"Staff at the reception is very friendly. And this was probably the most delicious breakfast I had . The room is clean and what I really like that even beddings has some soft clean smell (btw the mattress was extremely soft, luv it ). You can wake up with a beautiful view on the pond and in the evening drinking tea at your balcony. Swimming pool also is clean Location not far from the city center and have a lot of cute cafes nearby. But in my room wifi has some problems and this was a bit troublesome."

"Facilities: The facilities are excellent and offer great value for the price. As long as the doors and windows were kept closed, we didn't have any issues with mosquitoes. Cleanliness: The bathroom's cleanliness could use some improvement. Environment: The overall environment is quite pleasant, and the location is a major highlight. It's very convenient to participate in alms giving right outside the door, and the night market is only a few hundred meters away. The front desk service is also excellent and very thoughtful; we could easily rent motorcycles or arrange transport to the high-speed rail station directly with them."

"A fabulous stay with a bit of luxury thrown in. We arrived at the hotel and were offered an upgrade to our room for free. We were greeted with a very warm welcome. The facilities are great with a rooftop large pool and a wonderful view of Liamd Prabang valley. The hotel is about 1.5kms to the centre, however they offer a free shuttle service on the hour from early morning to late evening. Great breakfast and lots to choose from We will definitely come back Thank you all for a lovely stay Blessings"

"This was my first time staying at this hotel (chosen because it is top-rated), but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me as a business traveller. Apart from the central location, the stay did not meet my expectations. I booked a double-bed room and requested the second floor with a temple view. The staff informed me that the second floor was fully booked, and even the double-bed rooms were unavailable, so they gave me a twin room (no. 3) and pushed the beds together. The only good part was that the room still had a partial temple view from the window. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but there were no basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, razor, or comb unless requested at reception. I returned to the hotel close to midnight after a long day, only to find the reception closed, no staff available, and no information on how to contact anyone. There was also no in-room phone. I had to walk barefoot on the cold hard floor, could not brush my teeth, and could not request an iron to prepare for my meeting the next morning. In the morning, staff were still not present at 6:00 AM when I needed toiletries. When they finally arrived, I overheard the housekeeper saying they had run out of stock and that I should “go buy it outside,” which made me feel quite unwelcome as a guest paying a high room rate. The receptionist then repeated the same message without offering any guidance on where to buy items. Additionally, while the hotel claims to reduce single-use amenities for environmental reasons, they still provide drinking water in plastic bottles instead of glass — something that should be improved. I would like to compliment the staff member on duty on the morning of the 12th Nov 2025 at around 6:00 AM. I wanted to prepare food for almsgiving, and he kindly gave me helpful advice. He even went to ask a nearby vendor to bring the items I needed so that I could receive the service conveniently. I truly appreciate his assistance and excellent service. Overall, the lack of essential amenities, poor service availability, and unprofessional attitude made my stay uncomfortable. This will be my first and last stay at this hotel."

"The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was small but cozy. The staff was very polite, and the receptionist helped us with our suitcases. The hotel offers excursions and laundry service (30,000 kip per kilo). The location is very convenient; the historic center is within walking distance, and we didn't use a taxi at all. I would definitely stay here again."

"One area for improvement could be the soundproofing of the rooms, as the wooden structure sometimes allows noise from neighboring rooms or the outside to filter through. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall experience. The staff at Ammata Guest House are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to provide recommendations for restaurants, tours, and activities."
