"Dear Team at Swissôtel Makkah, Thank you very much for your kind message. I had a truly wonderful stay at Swissôtel Makkah. This was my **third stay** at the hotel, and once again my experience was excellent. The location is exceptional, with easy access to the Haram, which greatly enhanced my Umrah experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and uplifting. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness of the staff, who were always willing to help and ensured that my stay was both comfortable and spiritually fulfilling. Everything met and exceeded my expectations, and there was nothing I felt needed improvement. Thank you once again for your excellent hospitality. I look forward to staying with you again in the future, in shā’ Allāh. Kind regards, Fahmida Begum"

Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Fantastic hotel. Extremely clean (and fragrant lobby). We had a twin deluxe room with Haram view; spacious, comfortable and plush. Breakfast was also solid with good hours (6:00 to 10:30). We checked out on a Friday and they allowed us to check out after Jummah salah. The hotel is actually quite close to the Haram. From reviews online I was unsure, but in practice it's a few minutes walk to King Fahd Gate 79. For getting into the Haram I think it is quicker door-to-door than the Clock Tower hotels. For getting back from the Haram to the hotel, that is a bit longer depending on where you exit the masjid anddue to a slight uphill walk (nothing very demanding, non-elderly should be fine), though the walkway gets congested at busy times. Alternatively, there is a shuttle which takes you from the main hotel entrance to street level in less than 2 minutes; from there you take escalator/lift to the Haram. Would highly reccommend; only cons here would be no lotion in the bathroom and shower water pressure/temperature was not that high (very minor issues!)"

The Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah was recently opened in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Makkah. The hotel is only 7km from Makkah Station and 72km from King Abdulaziz International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Guests will find Pigeon Square, Makkah Bus (route 7A)- Shubaikah 439 to HHR Station and Zamzam Well just a short distance from the hotel. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Makkah hotel provides parking on site. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Jumeirah Hotel was excellent in terms of facilities — everything is new, clean, and well-maintained. Credit where it’s due: the staff were genuinely outstanding, extremely attentive, and always eager to help. Service level is easily one of the best. Location-wise, it’s around a 4–6 minute walk to Al Haram, which is acceptable. However, let’s be real — compared to the Clock Tower hotels, they are noticeably closer and more convenient, especially during peak prayer times. Now, about the “Partial Haram View” — this needs honesty. We booked two Deluxe Rooms with Partial Haram View, but the view is technically there… if you really look for it 😅. The Haram is barely visible, and most of the view is dominated by unfinished construction. You’ll spend more time spotting the Haram than enjoying it. Bottom line: Excellent hotel, top-tier service, great facilities — but don’t book it expecting a meaningful Haram view. If proximity and view matter, Clock Tower hotels still win."

The Makkah Towers is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Makkah Towers is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Makkah. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Makkah Station located approximately 7km away and King Abdulaziz International Airport roughly 73km away. There's plenty to do nearby, with Masjid al-Haram, Masjid Al Hijrah and Masjid all within a short distance. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Makkah hotel features parking on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.

"There’s a genuine issue with the lifts - before and after prayer times, expect to wait 10-20 minutes. The room I booked had a kitchen but no utensils, making it impractical to cook. The breakfast buffet offers very limited choices - usually just one gravy dish, with the rest mostly sauces and salads. The dining area staff were few and unresponsive, and it’s hard to get assistance when needed. Food quality also falls short of what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is unbeatable — the entrance to the Mataf is right in front, and there’s a food court and shopping mall within the same building, so everything you need is under one roof."

This Makkah hotel provides parking on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic.

"I had a pleasant stay at this Makkah hotel. The location is excellent—just a very short walk to the main gate of the mosque, which makes it incredibly convenient, especially during prayer times. The lower level feels like a small mall, offering plenty of shops and essentials, so everything you need is right at your doorstep. One thing to note is that some lifts were under maintenance, which meant longer waiting times during busy periods. Despite that, I still prefer staying here over the Clock Tower, mainly because you only need to take the lift once to reach the mosque area, making the overall movement much easier and faster. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient choice for anyone visiting Makkah."

Hotels in Al Hajlah,Makkah
Swissotel Al Maqam Makkah, newly renewed in 2025, is the latest addition to the Clock Towers Complex, offering a modern sanctuary in the heart of the holiest city. With 1,623 partially renovated rooms and suites, the hotel blends contemporary design with enhanced hospitality. Guests enjoy breathtaking views of the Kaaba, Haram, and city, while exclusive private entrances from Um Al Qura Tunnel and Ibrahim Al Khaleel Street provide seamless access to the Holy Mosque for an unparalleled stay.

"Extremely Disappointing Stay at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah (Oct 27–30, 2025) We had our reservation at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah through Trip.com, and our overall experience was very disappointing and far below the standards expected from a five-star hotel. At check-in, the front desk took more than 30 minutes to provide our room keys. Staff kept going back and forth to the back office without explanation. When we finally received our keys and went to the room, the keys did not work. A cleaning staff member nearby tried to help but informed us he was not authorized to open guest rooms. He attempted to use his master key, but it also didn’t work. We had specifically booked a Kaaba-view room so we could pray from our room, but because of this delay, we missed our Asar prayer . A few minutes later, a female management staff member came out of the same room while it was locked from the inside. She explained that she was inspecting the room and that it was not supposed to be assigned to guests due to a broken fridge cabinet door. I asked why the front desk had given us keys to a room that was not ready or suitable for guests. We were then told that no other Kaaba-view rooms were available at that time. This conversation took so long that I also missed my Maghrib prayer. To compensate, the management offered us three nights of complimentary dinner; however, we do not eat dinner, and our breakfasts were already included in the room rate that we paid for. I specifically requested a refund or adjustment to the room rate instead of meals, but they refused, which was completely unreasonable given the circumstances. On our last day, the management spent a considerable amount of time trying to persuade me not to leave a review, which delayed our checkout. Because of this, we missed our flight and had to purchase another ticket. I have photos taken at the time, with GPS date and time stamps, showing the staff involved. Management threatened me to delete the photos, claiming it was against regulations, so I have blurred faces for privacy. This experience was unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Rather than offering dinners we couldn’t use, the hotel should have provided a partial refund or proper compensation for the inconvenience, sleepless nights, and spiritual disturbance we experienced. Based on this, I do not recommend Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah, especially for those looking for comfort, honesty, and peace of mind during their stay in Makkah."
