"## Environment: The location is good, very close to the subway, making transportation convenient. There's a convenience store downstairs, so it's easy to grab a bite if you get hungry at night. We East Asians might find the smell in some areas a bit uncomfortable (mainly in the elevator; the lobby and rooms are fine. You know the drill). ## Hygiene: The room was quite clean. ## Service: Check-in involved a bit of a wait. For Singapore, it seems there are fewer staff who speak Chinese. Also, my breakfast records for two days weren't logged, so I had to explain and confirm with the staff every morning. ## Breakfast: Perhaps to cater to the needs of Indian guests, the breakfast here was truly difficult to describe... ## Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite old, but! The important thing is that the rooms are really spacious. If you're not a fan of Singapore's super small-sized rooms, I highly recommend this place. Additionally, the hotel decor might remind you of the golden nineties; it's quite retro and stylish in its own way."

"Stayed at The Waterfront for three days straight. The breakfast selection changed slightly each day, which was nice. I highly recommend the waffles; they're made fresh and are super crispy and fragrant. I had one every morning! The masala tea was a bit strong on the spices, so it might not be for everyone, but overall, the breakfast spread was truly abundant and left me feeling stuffed. The pool is on the smaller side and a bit shallow, so don't expect too much from it. Getting around is super convenient. It's very close to the subway with an overhead walkway, making it easy to reach anywhere."

"its a roundabout for the rooms so if u stay far from the lift can be quite a walk. there's supposedly an upgrade renovation done but i don't see any improvement as the bathroom didn't have a bidet and i had a room with a rusty crack in the bathtub base and they changed to a smaller room for me near the lift..the room didn't have custom madr curtains done proper and i really prefer it yo be entirely blackout curtains. as u can see in my pics there's light penetrating through. the new room had chip off in the basin and cigarette stains, i felt its unhygienic. . they promote drinking from tap water but as a local i still boil my water regardless. its good for people who loves nature and sea view and going to pulau ubin to explore. but bar and restaurant closes early in the hotel which is a disappointment."

"I had a staycation at the Swissotel on a weekday night. Since it was quite late, check-in was smooth and fast. I was given a city view premier (Standard) room on the 24th floor. The room was of an odd shape with a long corridor which reduced noise levels. Since the hotel is almost 40 years old now, the rooms are quite spacious, and I enjoyed sitting and relaxing on the large couch and had a great sleep on the wide king bed. However, I did notice some very short strands of hair on the pillow even before I laid down, which makes me wonder if the pillowcase had been washed in between guests. During the daytime, the warm sunlight lit up the surrounding colonial buildings well (CHIJMES, Raffles Hotel etc) and it made for great pictures that I managed to shoot from the balcony of the room. Having stayed at the sister property-- Fairmont Hotel before, I was a little disappointed that the toiletries were of a seemingly ordinary brand, as opposed to LeLabo used at Fairmont which is usually similarly priced but more luxurious. I feel that the minibar area can be upgraded, since currently it looks dark and rather out of place as compared to the rest of the well decorated room. Nespresso and TWG Tea were available, while oddly enough the minibar was empty. At the Fairmont for comparison, there is an overengineered but fully stocked minibar with sensors that will detect the drink leaving the fridge and exorbitant charges will be applied. The room also felt slightly older - Some nicks on the wall, frames etc, as I learned that Swissotel was last renovated in 2019 while Fairmont was renovated slightly later. The USB-A ports also gave away the room's age. There seemed to be rather few charging plugs available for such a large room. Location of the hotel is superb, with convenient transport downstairs via the MRT and it is easy to get a Grabcar. It is also connected to the shopper's paradise, Raffles City Shopping Mall. Singapore faces an acute manpower shortage in the hotel and hospitality industry, but I never once felt service was an issue here. The reception and concierge were amply staffed, staff were friendly and could be seen proactively helping guests with their luggage. I also did not have to wait to check in/out. There is a large gym on the property, raved about by other reviews, but I did not visit it since it is on the Fairmont side of the hotel [quite a walk away] and I got lost trying to find it. Lastly, I could not resist visiting the Skai Restaurant which Swissotel is most known for since it is among the tallest restaurants in Singapore -- taller than Marina Bay Sands. It is located on the 70th floor of the hotel and I had a 3-course lunch there. Service was great as to be expected, but prices are steep - if you don't have the 30% Accor Plus discount. While the food was alright, the view was simply superb since it is unblocked on all sides. I would recommend visiting just for the view, but I heard that there could be a minimum order of 1 main course needed to enter. Overall, nitpicking aside, the Swissotel is one of the better 5 star hotels in Singapore and a great choice for business travellers. Asides from the not so clean pillow I could not find any other major faults. However, since Fairmont and Swissotel are both usually similarly priced at $400+, and having stayed at both before, I would recommend the Fairmont over the Swissotel since it offers a slightly more luxurious experience for not that much more."

"Great location! Dhoby Ghaut is a fantastic hub with three MRT lines, and buses are convenient too. But Singapore is small enough that you can actually walk to many places. The breakfast is quite basic, but the room's soundproofing is decent, and there are free snacks. If I visit Singapore again, I'd probably stay here."

Even a Nespresso capsule coffee machine is thoughtfully provided, making for a perfect start to your morning and instantly boosting your mood. • Open the window to a panorama of lush greenery. Occasionally, you might even spot red junglefowl strolling on the lawn, instantly transitioning you from city life to vacation mode. 🏊 Leisure: The Pool is a Secluded Sanctuary in the Coconut Grove • The expansive outdoor pool is surrounded by palm trees and tropical flowers. Lounging on a deckchair, listening to the fountain and birdsong, time seems to slow down. • The hotel also thoughtfully provides childcare and family activities, allowing parents with kids to truly relax and enjoy their own holiday. 🌟 Highlights Summary • Secluded yet Central: Located right next to Orchard Road, yet it feels like a tranquil oasis isolated from the hustle and bustle. • Detail-Oriented Delights: From the braille signage in the elevators to every amenity in the room, you can feel the dedication of this long-standing hotel. • Rich in History: As the birthplace of Shangri-La, every design element here tells the legendary story of the brand. If you ask me if I'd stay here again on my next visit to Singapore? The answer is: absolutely! After all, who can resist the feeling of waking up in a tropical garden, gently roused by coconut groves and birdsong?"

"We made a last-minute decision to stay on Sentosa for three days and two nights, and didn't hesitate long before choosing The Outpost. I'd read reviews saying the main entrance was a bit hard to find, so we took a taxi directly to the island. If you set the GPS accurately, it's actually quite easy to find; you'll pass The Village Hotel, then drive a little further into the car park, and there's The Outpost. Actually, both hotels share the family-friendly swimming pool and gym facilities. The hotel lobby isn't large but is elegantly simple, and the air freshener smells lovely. On weekends, they even provide thoughtful welcome drinks, and the children received a delicious chocolate milk. The sea-view room offered beautiful scenery. I had mentally prepared for a small room, but it actually felt more spacious than I expected. It was well-equipped, with a capsule coffee machine and a filtered water tap, plus a sofa that could be used as a separate workspace (reading area). The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the shower gel and shampoo provided were pleasant and effective; the attention to detail was evident. What was most therapeutic was the large floor-to-ceiling window. I felt like I could spend the entire day by the window, watching the changing sky. Sentosa's sunsets never disappoint and are worth seeing 44 times over. If you want to venture out, Palawan Beach is less than a ten-minute walk away, making it convenient to reach the suspension bridge and the inflatable water park. Additionally, while the hotel breakfast didn't have an extensive variety, the food was delicious. In the evenings, the rooftop infinity pool and bar were lively. We could order food and drinks and even saw fireworks two nights in a row, making it definitely worthy of a five-star review."

"1. Early check-in and late check-out are available, charged hourly, though I don't recall the exact rates. The service was polite, but they don't offer luggage delivery to your room. 2. The location is indeed excellent. It's walking distance to the police station attraction, and taxis to various places cost around S$11-15, making it great for quick sightseers. 3. Breakfast was quite mediocre, like airplane food brought to the ground, and it was very crowded. You might as well skip it and try local street food; that experience is much better. The hotel pool is glass, which is beautiful, and I highly recommend trying it out – it's a bit like the one at the St. Regis. [Soundproofing] It's pretty poor; light sleepers will hear noise from outside the door. [Musty Smell] The rooms had a significant musty odor. If this bothers you, don't book here. I'd consider it an unpleasant smell. The upside is that for Singapore, it's not expensive, just a little over a thousand (SGD/CNY), so what more can you ask for?"
