Hotel Hohberg "Next to BBC Arena"

We had a lovely one night stay here due to its close proximity to Rhine Falls. We had a large spacious room with a balcony. The bed was very comfortable and whilst the bathroom was a little small it had everything we needed and a warm powerful shower. The staff were friendly and spoke Engish. There was also an included breakfast that had cheese, meats, boiled and scrambled egg, bread and jam, cereals, yogurts and juices. Our one small negative was that the bathroom light was on a sensor which went off whilst in the shower but then also turned on when going to the toilet during the night which as a result disturbed my husband who was sleeping. The extractor fan was also turned on with the light and took a long time to turn off meaning trying to get back to sleep wasnt easy with the noise. Overall, a really lovely place and we'd stay here again.

Found long hairs in the sink, there were various food splatter on the walls in the restaurant, there wasn't always a receptionist, and if you rang the bell someone from the kitchen would come to help you but they rarely spoke English. The view from the halls and the restaurant is to a big empty gravel-filled hangar where some construction is underway. The walls are paper thin, you can hear conversations, snoring, coughing, TV, etc easily from other rooms. You don't have access cards to your room, you have a key with a big piece of metal hanging from the key, which feels a bit outdated and clumsy to walk around with in your pocket. The people who did speak English were very helpful and the people who didn't speak English always found someone who could understand you. They all seemed very kind and the food in the restaurant was pretty good. Breakfast was pretty good, not a huge breakfast but has all the essentials and very nice people working there. I would stay there again, but there is room for improvement.
