First, the good: great location for hiking, convenient to transportation, large parking area. Our room was on a high floor, had a balcony, and additional seating. We did not utilize the “wellness spa”. It was a very quiet location. We had the lovely surprise of being in the area when the festival of cows returning from high pasture, with bells. Musical performances were a highlight. The interesting: most guests at this hotel seemed to be present for the medical wellness aspect of the hotel. As a geriatric healthcare provider, I am very curious about the model of this hotel: saw roomful of ambulatory equipment. The bad: our upgraded balcony room had views of the roof. The room was very hot. The common areas did not smell clean. The location is great. We will not stay here again anytime soon.

Pros A beautifully located hotel. The staff was all very helpful and extremely nice. Breakfast, as well as dinner, were delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Very comfortable parking lot beneath the hotel with an elevator from there to all floors. Not a cheap hotel but relative to prices in Switzerland very high value for money. Cons If I have to pick one thing so the interior design was a bit too modern with colors that do not fit the ambiance of the hotel and its surroundings. Nothing significant and surely I'll be very glad to stay there again.

In wunderschöner Umgebung gelegen, mit Blick auf die Hügel und Spitzen des Alpstein Gebirges steht das Hotel Hofweissbad. Seit dem das Bade- und Saunahaus eröffnet wurde steht dem Entspannen, Auftanken und Geniesse nichts mehr im Wege. Das wunderbare Ambiente, die ehrliche Freundlichkeit des ganzen Personals und die top Küche werden ergänzt durch eine erstaunlich breite Weinkarte und innovative Köstlichkeiten aus der Bar. Richtig toll!

Wir hatten das Jubiläumspackage für drei Nächte inkl. Halbpension und einer Behandlung gebucht. Es war einfach alles perfekt. Angefangen von dem ausgezeichneten und freundlichen Service der Mitarbeiter (grosser Pluspunkt: fast alle sind Einheimische). Man wird von A-Z verwöhnt, alles ist sehr durchdacht. Das Frühstück ist Spitzenklasse mit vielen Appenzeller-Spezialitäten, auch beim Abendessen hat man eine tolle Auswahl. Dort könnte es noch etwas mehr vegetarische und einheimische Gerichte haben, dies ist alllerdings Klagen auf hohem Niveau. Der Wellness und SPA-Bereich mit dem tolllen Saunahaus, dem Kaltwasserbecken und und dem warmen Sprudelbad hat uns ebenfalls begeistert. Dazu die wunderschöne Lage in Weissbad. Für uns klar eines unserer neuen Lieblingshotel in der Schweiz!

Wunderschönes neues Bade- und Saunahaus und auch freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Feine Küche mit lokalen Lieferanten. Primär für vermögende "Best-Ager" und Kurgäste wohl eine sehr gute Wahl - jüngere Paare sehe ich aufgrund der Positionierung in diesem Haus weniger... Für mich persönlich stimmte die preisliche Positionierung zur Leistung nicht ganz... Es war durchaus solide - hatte aber doch gewisse Mankos in der gebotenen Leistung (Zimmer war für Einzel-Belegung vorbereitet obwohl als DZ gebucht, wünsche mir eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer oder auf der Etage, digitale Gästemappe (Handy) scheint es nicht zu geben, Kissenmenu kennt man wohl nicht und irgendwie fehlte mir für diesen Preis einfach auch ein Snack am Nachmittag... Von dem her alles ganz ok - aber weit weg von "wau"....

Wir haben hier ein Wochenende verbracht und fühlten uns rundum wohl. Vom herzlichen Empfang mit Prosecco und Snack bis zum Check-Out war alles top. Das Hotel bietet Wellness, Kulinarik, Komfort und Kundenservice auf höchstem Niveau. Wir würden sofort wieder hierher kommen, denn auch die Lage im schönen Appenzellerland lädt zum verweilen und entschleunigen ein. Das Personal ist durchgehend freundlich und mit Herz dabei. Und nicht, weil es gespielt ist, sondern weil es gelebt wird. Wir können den Hof Weissbad nur empfehlen und freuen uns auf ein weiteres erholsames Wochenende.

Das Hotel Hof Weissbad ist ein sehr schönes Haus, hier wird Gastronomie auf sehr hohem Niveau gelebt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Die Küche war für uns auf 5 Sterne Niveau. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geräumig. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt
