The hotel is clean and tidy. If you don’t drive by yourself, you have to walk a little uphill from the station to the hotel. Because of the high terrain, there is no scenery.
The breakfast is local food, good quality and very satisfied. Will choose this hotel next time!

The hotel sits in the old part of Scuol in an ancient building and this is a nice thing. However the restructuring of the interior spaces made the structure quite anonymous. In spite of the restructuring process no elevator has been built as well as no air conditioning system: Scuol is 1200 meters high, not 1400 as the person at the reception told us, and the meter on the window of our room marked a 39.2 C as maximal temperature reached during our stay. This is hardly acceptable in a 4 star hotels that charged 760 CHF for a small double room for 2 nights. Such an hotel should have at least a nice swimming pool. In reality the pool is available but is a public pool where the number of people present and the round shape of the two main pools render swimming all but impossible. Last but not least: the pool can be reached after a 500-600 meter (and 85 steps) walk. On the positive side, the quality of some of the breakfast food (smoked saibling, cheeses) was good.

We booked the GuardaVal on the same weekend as we were to hike up to the Lischana Hütte. Talk about going from rustic and sparse to having anything and everything at your fingertips. From the first moment we walked through the front door (dirty and stinky from hiking in the heat), we were warmly welcomed, offered a welcome drink and given a short orientation about the hotel and accompanying services (which includes many... lift tickets, free public transport, free entry to the local mineral baths and more). Our room was beautiful and had an amazing view to the south and the mountains. Frankly, they have turned service into an art. I had mentioned in an email that it was our anniversary and because of that, they offered us a free drink with dinner and more. Simply put... there's no question that we'll be staying at the GuardaVal again in the future.

Wir sind wiederum sehr glücklich nach ein paar Verwöhn-Tagen im GuardaVal. Gemütliches Ambiente, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und hervorragende Küche. Bereits das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, auch feiner Kaffee und Eierspeisen werden rasch gebracht. Butter und Käse sind von herausragender Qualität, auch die Brote, Gebäck, Müeslis - frische Früchte und Säfte, einfach lecker. (Mmmh, das Kuchenrezept hätte mich interessiert.) Auch die Halbpension ist ausgezeichnet und gibt eine täglich wechselnde Auswahl. Die Zimmer sind chic renoviert, mir gefällt der Holzboden - und Sauna und Dampfbad sind ein toller Luxus. Wir schätzten auch den Eintritt ins grosse öffentliche Bad.... zum Glück waren wir dort, bevor es eine lange Schlange beim Einlass gab...... Die Verbindungen ins weitläufige, schöne Skigebiet sind mit dem Ortsbus super! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich kann mich den vielen positiven Äusserungen der Mehrheit anschliessen. Wirklich sehr freundliches Personal, speziell hervorheben möchte ich den „Sonnenschein“ an der Bar, leider weiss ich ihren Namen nicht mehr. Ganz genial und sehr zu empfehlen war das Chef‘s Table Abendmenue. Wir waren in der Küche des Hotels Belvair und der Küchenchef Vinicio Guedes hat uns mit seiner Crew ein sensationelles Menue serviert. Dazu gab es die passenden Weine, welche uns Frank Schulze erklärend und aufmerksam kredenzte. Ein absoluter Hit!!

Wer das Romantik Gourmet Hotel noch nicht kennt, hat etwas verpasst. Hier fühlt sich der Gast bereits bei der Ankunft herzlich Willkommen. Allgemein sehr freundliches Personal und kulinarisches Erlebnis.Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen mit fantastischem Bergpanorama und Blick auf das Dorf Scuol.Ideal für Wanderungen, Wellness und diverse Freizeit Möglichkeiten. Sehr schönes, gut gepflegtes Unterengadinerhotel mit hervorragendem Frühstücksbuffet, verschiedenen Wohlfühlnischen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten verschönern den Aufenthalt. Die Gratisbenützung des Engadin Bades, auch noch am Abreisetag, ist grosszügig und einzigartig. Der Z'Vieri (gratis) hat mich sehr überrascht und gereut.

Prenotato mezz’ora prima di arrivare con Booking nessun intoppo. Visto che vi se iamo fermati solo una notte abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell’albergo tutto buono e direi da provare ottimo. Unica pecca forse che non avevano un menu in italiano specialmente per il mio compagno che non mangiando formaggi nei cibi voleva leggere in italiano ciò che prendeva …, ecco per il resto ci torneremo

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wenn wir jünger wären, hätten uns die vielen Treppen auch nichts ausgemacht. Das über 400jährige Haus erlaubt keinen Lift. Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu meckern. Die Gegend ist bezaubern und alle sind sehr relaxt.
