It was a good, clean room. Beds were super comfortable. We booked the last available room, so we viewed the parking lot. But we were only there for 1 night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good pub right next door. The rooms are nicely decorated but fairly small, fyi. No closet other than a rack on the wall and no small table and chairs. There may be bigger rooms that had extra space as we were in most likely the last room rented for that night. But it was definitely great little place for an overnight. The staff go out of their way with their pleasant demeanor!! A

Really lovely little hotel but man does their staff need some lessons in customer service. We arrived and at check-in I asked for a late checkout the next day, around 2pm if they could accommodate it. The person working the counter said he’d have to ask the manager and get back to me. (First red flag - why doesn’t your front end staff have the capability to say yes or no to that?) Anyways. I get a text message shortly after that my request has been approved and we can check out at 2pm the next day. 10am - there is a quiet knock on the door, we are sleeping so don’t really hear it. They knock again so we say one minute - as we are saying this, the person proceeds to OPEN the door! So we say excuse me?!, while we are trying to get ready. My partner goes outside and the guy says “I was checking if the room was clear”. What!? It’s 10am and we have a 2pm check out time. We get ready, go downstairs to clear the situation up. I’m assuming this is the guy that knocked cause he’s like “well it’s an extra $40 for late check out and it hasn’t been paid so I was seeing if you guys were still sleeping. I was going to give you until 11:30”. This makes NO sense. We were NOT informed of a $40 charge, and you entered our room while we were in there (with the do not disturb tag displayed) to see if we were still sleeping!? How creepy and awkward. You have my phone number on file, why not call? You could have knocked then left a note.

I was originally given room 10 (ground floor at the end) unfortunately it is beside the stairwell to the upper floor and I could hear folks going up/down the stairs, despite earplugs, until well after midnight . . and then starting again at about 6 AM, which did not make for a peaceful nights sleep. The next morning I spoke to the front desk clerk, who very kindly moved me to a room upstairs for my next two nights. I certainly appreciated their willingness to make the change to ensure I could sleep peacefully. Thank you again for your great customer service. I highly recommend "The Spot" (provided you avoid the ground floor end rooms). PS: The Lighthouse pub /restaurant, right next door, is a good spot for a meal and to enjoy the beautiful view over Porpoise Bay

Rooms are clean an pleasant bed was excellent good central location. I was working nights and tying to sleep during the day and had no issues with excessive traffic noise. The gentleman at the desk was very nice so really what more could you ask for aside from some relief from the massive industry wide price increases.

Booked room with kitchen, but no sink to do dishes. No dish soap, with stove and pot took over a hour to boil water for cup of tea. Should not advertise room with kitchen. Would like to say that the shower was the best I have ever used, so good that I didn't want to get out. Room was very clean with great pillows.

“Garden rooms” overlook parking lot Ocean rooms over look the end of the bay/marsh area Recently -rapidly -renovated Security is lacking- we only worried because of the makeshift security devices (wooden stick to keep window sliders shut) no security issues but main floor windows are big and easily accessible/lookinsideable Staff appears to always be working - on what I’m not sure … we had to ask to have our room cleaned after 3 days -fine- they complied. but then the came in at 8pm again the next night to freshen up despite do not disturb Location is ok. Pub /docks/seaplanes next door easily walkable to Center of town.
