Kelaman Pool Villa Resort

The hotel environment is really nice, with a courtyard and a pool. It's conveniently located near the tourist pier and seafood market, both less than a 20-minute walk away. The room was tidy and clean, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. The Chinese-speaking butler was very thoughtful and allowed us to check in early to rest, which was great.

Pros: It seems to have been recently renovated, as it's quite new and clean. The owner is Chinese, and the service is decent. Cons: The room is very small, there's no space for anything. The bathroom was clearly an afterthought, and there's a strong, persistent bad odor. Even with the bathroom door closed and the AC on, the smell lingers. Poor value for money.

The room was small and very dirty, but they eventually helped me switch rooms, which I really appreciate 🙏. However, it's perfect for those who are just island hopping, budget traveling, and need to do laundry.

The room was a complete mess and incredibly small, not to mention the leaky roof. And it's just a guesthouse operating under several different hotel names. Staying here truly showed me that only Chinese people can scam other Chinese people when you're abroad.
