Hotel Grand Terrace Sendai Kokubun-Cho

I have stayed at much better hotels for less. Pros include friendly staff, abundant and varied breakfast and close to big shopping street with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Cons include distance to main station, very old and dated rooms, the bed was very hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. We arrived, no water in room, when we asked they ushered us to the vending machine. English information was non existent, laundromat was hard to find..it was like going on a quest for the holy grail.

Sendai hotel: A warm welcome and helpful receptionist to store lugged until check-in. Room was too small for comfort and narrow. Two windows faced a outside passage and could open so bit stuffy. Location is convenient for buses, shopping arcades and walkable to the train station.

Hotel is a bit old but cleanliness is good. Hotel staffs are very helpful. Parking cost is 1200 yen, a bit expensive. Starbuck store is on the first floor which is very convenience.

The bed was very comfortable and the staff were so hospitable. Only few minutes away to find the restaurants and shops you like to go. Would love to stay again next time of my visit. Thank you!

Nice atmospheric hotel with great amenities, comfortable room and nice breakfast buffet. Location is well suited for exploring around Sendai

The location is great—just a 20-step walk to the shopping street. Even though it's an old building, the service is excellent and everything is clean. Recommended for those who don't mind older facilities
