Morino Hotel Sendai

QR code check-in was too much hassle. It's questionable whether it's actually quicker than the traditional method. If using a QR code, it should be more streamlined.

Even though I was traveling alone on business, there were no rooms available, so I had no choice but to book a twin room. I thought it would be charged as single-use for a twin, but they charged me the accommodation tax for two people. To top it off, despite being far from the station and old, the room rate was higher than in the city center. Unbelievable.

I stayed here for a business trip. The welcome drink was quite strong, which really got me excited and was an absolute treat for someone who loves alcohol. I had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

The amenities and the room were wonderful. Check-in was supposed to be from 3 PM, but I arrived at the hotel a bit early. As I was about to wait in the lobby, they kindly allowed me to check in ahead of time, which was a great help.

The welcome drink selection includes coffee, tea, and even a bottle of whiskey. What I really liked was the contracted parking lot right next door, the mirror on the desk, the extra-long extension cord, the ceramic cups (not plastic!), the semi-double bed in a single room, the window that lets in fresh air, and the staff who patiently assisted with the QR code check-in. I had a very comfortable stay overall.

The affiliated parking lot right next door offered a flat rate from the morning of check-in until the evening of the next day, with unlimited in-and-out access. I stayed here for an exhibition at the Sendai International Center Exhibition Hall, and it was convenient to walk to the venue from the inn (about a 20-minute walk).

This hotel is conveniently located near Kokubuncho and Tatsumachi, and it's only about a 5-minute walk from the subway station. It has a more substantial feel than your typical chain business hotel, and the pricing is quite reasonable for what you get, so I definitely recommend it as a good value.
