The Island Blue Hotel

The interior and lobby were spacious and beautiful, and the view was also incredibly lovely. I had such a wonderful stay! There were two air conditioners, and the vanity was nice and clean. I also liked all the charging outlets. It was great to have a convenience store on the first floor! The smoking area outside was also well-maintained. The bed was so soft and comfy – good, good!

During the Mother's Day long weekend, it was incredibly comfortable to stay in such a spacious hotel with three beds and hot shower water, all for just 2300 per night. It even had a dining table and a kitchen island. While it's not a luxury hotel, it was truly comfortable. It's close to Jeongbang Waterfall and Olle Market. The best part is that if you walk uphill, there are tons of cheap restaurants, and the black pork BBQ across the street is also quite good. There's a CU downstairs, but its opening hours are inconsistent. If you turn right when you exit the hotel, there's a local convenience store that's very authentic and has a wide variety of items.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Seogwipo. This time, I was assigned a room on the 11th floor, but as soon as I got off the elevator, the entire hallway reeked of body odor, which made me feel nauseous. The smell did eventually dissipate, but it was quite unpleasant. I hope they improve the ventilation in the hallways on each floor next time. On another note, the breakfast buffet seemed much more simplified than my previous stays, which was a bit disappointing.
