Shinhwa Jeju Shinhwa World Hotels & Resorts

Traveling with kids, the room was a bit small but overall very clean. I thought the complimentary Big 3 tickets wouldn't offer enough rides, so we upgraded to the unlimited pass for the kids, but we didn't even end up needing it. The roller coaster was too terrifying for them, but the 4D movie was free and amazing, and there was also a free balloon show. The only regret was that we didn't bring our swimsuits, so we missed out on the pool.

The hotel is in a very remote location, and chartered cars charge an extra 300 for crossing regional lines. Fortunately, the resort has an outlet mall, dining options, and a casino, making it suitable for young children. The hotel's infinity pool connects directly to the indoor water park, and it seems all room bookings include access anyway—the extra money paid for water park tickets was useless. You can also enter the Shinhwa Theme Park without a ticket just to look around; we only bought the 3-ride package. The theme park is very geared towards young kids under 10, with most rides just going round and round. We even specially upgraded to unlimited rides for the child, but once is totally enough. Four tickets across two rooms (12 rides in total) are plenty for one child (assuming they can ride alone without parents). The park is very small and 2 hours is more than enough to explore it. The hotel service is quite good though; they help call taxis and the front desk is very enthusiastic! The only drawback is that the room floors were a bit dirty, which doesn't meet 5-star standards, and the rooms feel a bit dated. Overall, the hotel is okay if you just want to stay in and relax, but not recommended if you plan to visit local attractions.

The biggest disappointment this time was the absence of a bidet toilet in the room. Also, the lack of a coin-operated self-service laundry in the hotel was a drawback. In China, these services are often free now. Otherwise, the facilities, including the pool, were excellent. My kids had a great time. However, the sun loungers by the pool were too expensive to rent. At the Grand Hyatt, they are free. And about the theme park, it's quite small. We went right when it opened at 10 AM, but many shops didn't open until 11 AM or 11:30 AM. I was also shocked to be told that one of the attractions wouldn't open until 2 PM. I'd definitely come back to the hotel, but I wouldn't book the theme park again.

The room was clean and the facilities were decent, still quite new. It was very convenient for going to the water park. The front desk staff was great; they immediately helped me find my hat when I left it in a taxi.

Let me give an honest review of this hotel. I booked a connecting room for one night, costing 2807. First, the cons: 1. The cleanliness was terrible. After checking in at 3 PM, all three beds had hair on them. I initially thought I'd just use my own sheets, but then I found hair on the first large bed, figuring it might have been an oversight. However, lifting the covers on the second and third beds also revealed hair. 2. There was hair in the sink and on the vanity counter. 3. The floor wasn't thoroughly cleaned and was quite dirty. 4. After changing rooms, my child developed an allergic reaction on their legs after sleeping there for one night. 5. The bedsheets and duvet covers were old, showing signs of wear, tear, and mending, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Now, the pros: 1. The location is excellent. The rooftop pool connects to the water park, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. 2. The booking included tickets to both the water park and the Mythology Theme Park. Finally, I contacted Ctrip to switch rooms. The third-floor room was slightly newer than the one on the first floor. We also received a late checkout until 2 PM. Overall, the price doesn't match the quality, so don't set your expectations too high.

We stayed in a family room at the Jeju Shinhwa World Hotel for our family trip to Jeju with our child, and the experience exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly convenient for traveling with kids! The family room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. There was plenty of room for two adults and one child. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the facilities were complete, making for a very comfortable stay. The package included tickets to Shinhwa Theme Park, which was a great deal as we didn't have to buy them separately. We also had unlimited access to the water park, which was just a short walk from the hotel, making it easy to go back to the hotel to rest without having to travel far. The resort facilities were comprehensive, with restaurants and convenience stores readily available, making dining and shopping convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our child had an amazing time at the theme park, and when they were tired, we could just head back to the room to rest. It was an all-in-one resort experience that truly maximized our enjoyment. I highly recommend this hotel for family trips; it offers great value for money. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Jeju!
