Amazing view from the hotel, great service, wonderful activities and nightly entertainment. Perfect for families and couples. Although facilities were a little old and tired, the kindness and warmth of all service staff made up for it. All our needs were catered to and everyone was willing to go the extra mile even though we did not have any membership history or whatsoever with the Shilla. This was such a breath of fresh air compared to the poor service we got at Marriott Shinhwa Jeju despite having status with Bonvoy - so we will most definitely be coming back to the Shilla Jeju with a bigger group in the near future.

Let's start with the positives: the hotel's style and the surrounding sea views are definitely praiseworthy. The service, I'd say, was pretty standard. The front desk staff and the bellhops were all quite good. We also appreciated the turndown service when we returned to the hotel in the evening. Now for the complaints. When my friend was showering at night, she noticed the shower stall leaked onto the floor. She almost slipped, which was quite dangerous. I called housekeeping, but communicating was a struggle – their English and Chinese (they asked if I could speak Chinese) seemed equally poor. After a long conversation, they finally said they'd send someone to check it out. Eventually, a manager-type and a maintenance person arrived. After some fiddling, their solution was to line the shower stall with towels, accompanied by apologetic smiles. Heh. I can't help but wonder if a local guest would have received a more thorough solution. The hotel seriously needs to consider replacing its hairdryers, and the wooden comb in the toiletries was also really hard to use. Additionally, the breakfast price is quite steep, and the taste frankly doesn't justify it. Overall, that's pretty much it. What was supposed to be the most anticipated night ended up being a bit disappointing.

The hotel may be a little far from the airport, but the warm, child-friendly service makes it truly worth it. Staff were always thoughtful and smiling, even providing a stroller upon arrival. Facilities are great for families, the pool lifeguards were attentive, and the beach is just a short walk away. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the unagi rice at the restaurant was excellent. Our child had a wonderful time—we highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is very well-maintained; aside from the furniture, tables, chairs, and hairdryer in the room, you wouldn't guess this hotel has been open for over 30 years. The breakfast spread is excellent, with a variety of Chinese, Western, Japanese, and Korean options. The main clientele are Korean tourists, with not many Chinese guests. The swimming pool is mostly used by couples and families with young children, so it's more for splashing around. The gym isn't 24-hour; it closes at 11 PM.

The public areas are indeed beautiful, but the rooms are quite old, though well-maintained. The family room has two beds, one large and one small, both of which are tiny. The beds weren't very comfortable, and the hairdryer was ancient – a nightmare for long hair. The front desk staff patiently explained all the facilities, and the turndown service even helped tidy up the clutter on our table. However, this 'sea view' room truly has nothing to do with a sea view (P1 shows the view from the balcony looking towards the sea, and there's an obstruction on the other side, so you can barely catch a glimpse of the sea). Everyone should just book a basic room type instead.

Coming from the Grand Hyatt, this hotel initially felt small and dated. The overall style strongly reminded me of the Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang. The cleanliness and service were impeccable. Even the mouthwash cups in the bathroom had covers, which, while I'm not sure if it serves a practical purpose, gave a great impression. Because I booked a family room, they even provided a pair of small slippers for the child. Every staff member I encountered at the hotel greeted me with a smile, making me feel completely at home. The evening pool also had a performance, creating an amazing atmosphere! The hotel's exterior is very expansive; it takes a long time just to walk around it. Inside, there's a children's playroom, and you can even feed little rabbits and birds. For families traveling with kids, there's plenty to do right at the hotel.

Both the room service and restaurant service at the hotel were very professional and meticulous. Most of the services offered required reservations, which kept things organized, but they were also flexible. By the hotel pool and in the restaurant courtyard, there were performers, singers, and musicians of various styles. The hotel also boasts a beautiful seaside promenade. There were quite a few people learning to surf on the beach, and the waves were quite big, so it wasn't really ideal for swimming.

It's an hour's drive from the airport and downtown. A Kakao T taxi costs around 40,000-50,000 Korean Won. The hotel is very clean and located in the southern part of the city. You can usually catch a taxi within a minute. It's also close to the columnar jointing. They don't provide complimentary toothbrushes. The gym is quite small. Unless you're looking for a resort hotel, staying downtown would actually be a bit more convenient.

Stayed here w family in different rooms. My room faced the sea. It was spectacular. Breakfast was great but wish it was included in the room rate. Parking at the hotel was available and though the assigned car parks were always full, the hotel allowed parking at e side of the road, so there was definitely space to park the car. The hotel compound was big and is an enjoyable time strolling around. This was a very popular hotel, evident from the crowd at the swimming pool, gym, restaurants and cafeteria. I’d an enjoyable time.

I really love The Shilla Hotels. There are many hotel options in Seogwipo, but The Shilla offers an excellent experience. The breakfast is genuinely delicious, and the accompanying restaurants are also outstanding. I'll definitely keep coming back to stay here in the future!

This hotel is nestled on a hillside, offering stunning mountain and sea views. It's incredibly quiet and boasts a beautiful South-of-France design, perfect for girlfriends' getaways, romantic trips, or family vacations. The only minor issue is that the facilities are a bit dated, though they are very well-maintained. Also, not many staff members speak good English, which can lead to some communication difficulties.

The hotel's硬件 (facilities/amenities) are top-notch, exquisitely decorated, with a rich interior design, and impeccably clean. The room service is absolutely superb. They offer garden, sea, and cliff views. You can enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, and a kids' club. There's lobby music and pool parties. The food is also delicious, and the price feels completely reasonable given the quality. Now for the downsides: English service is lacking, and many things have no English signage. Perhaps they only cater to domestic guests? It's not very friendly for international visitors. The pool is a bit plain, lacking some fun features.

Great place to stay, walls are pretty thin though, you can hear hallway noises quite clearly.

Room is spacious. Got a mountain view and need to pay extra if upgrade to seaview. Very friendly and helpful concierge who suggested nearby walking places to go eg Yeomiji Botanic garden and Cheonjeyeon Fall. Highly recommended for the pleasant stay. Will stay again.
