Starlight Hotel Seoul Yeongdeungpo

Excellent hotel with a coffee station at the reception. They provided everything we needed - toothbrushes, combs, and even... precautions! There's a bus stop just 5 minutes from the hotel with a direct bus to the airport, which is super convenient. The room design is a work of art in itself – we had a space-themed room with gold bar tiles in the bathroom. There was a large TV you could connect to your phone, and even a computer in the room, but we didn't end up using it.

Stayed here during a business trip, and the environment was pretty good.

It was a *******, like a Japanese 🏩. The bathroom had a toilet, sink, and shower with a bathtub all in one room, but it was spacious. The shower didn't have a partition, so you needed to be a little careful to avoid getting the floor soaking wet. There are lots of restaurants nearby, so I think it's a good place to stay.

The receptionist was Chinese, and check-in was conducted entirely in Chinese, which was very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and there were various Korean restaurants downstairs. It's also very close to the subway station, making transportation very convenient. Highly recommended.

I stayed for 5 nights and it was pretty good. First, the good points: the room was light-colored and bright, which I liked ❤️ It had a sofa and coffee table ❤️! The hotel didn't offer much service; towels, sheets, slippers, water cups, and water were all at the stairs for self-service 👌. You also had to take your own trash and used items into bags 😅. The open shower area left the whole floor wet afterward, and there was construction going on outside. The first night, I wasn't aware that a window was open and was woken up by noise 😂. Even with the window closed, it was still noisy, but acceptable. I was too tired after visiting Nami Island, so I didn't notice it the next day 😅. Before coming, I saw the ratings suddenly drop, which worried me, so I brought my own sheets once. Actually, the hotel is relatively new, so it was okay. 👌 The area outside the hotel is full of barbecue restaurants (somewhat similar to Temple Street in Hong Kong or Shanghai Street in Mong Kok), with many interconnected alleys and similar hotels nearby. It was very lively from afternoon until evening, with many people smoking outside restaurants (I don't know if this is local culture, but there was a police station nearby). It seemed better to have someone with you when going out. We also ate three meals nearby, including meat dishes and roast beef. A friendly reminder: the remote control controls the entire room, so be sure to translate it before using it. 🫣

The hotel is clean, new, and spacious, but it's a long walk to the subway. There are many barbecue restaurants nearby that stay open late. It's worth staying here again, but it's best to have a male companion, as it might startle a drunkard at night.
