Traditional house@ palace &insadong

It was a unique stay experience. Booked sometime ago, wasnt aware the kitchen was hidden away behind a sliding door. Could have been left ajar alittle as new comers wont realise. Well provided for. Great to have had sufficient water for drinking, thank you. Pillows way too soft could improve on quality and provide 2per person. Bathroom tile can be fixed, laundry area could be neater. Thank you for umbrellas provided, came in handy!

This is the perfect place to stay with a small group who would like to experience the full feeling of a traditional korean hanok with modern amenities. There is a view of the Namsem tower in the distace. The streets are quiet and empty until about 10 am so it is very peaceful. Many shops and eateries are within a 3 to 15 minute walk. One palace is about a 15 minute walk and the other about 35 minutes. We did Ubers most places as it was easy, direct and could pick up and drop off directly in front of the guest house. A washer -dryer combo is there as well as laundry detergent. Rooms were very clean,, Air conditioning was needed a few times and it was very efficient. I must say the host was excellent. Answering any questions we had and immediately bringing us an alternative to down - which I had forgotten to ask for previously. The host helped translate a conversation from a friends brother who lives near Seoul so we could connect. A Daebak experience. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to any kdrama fan as you live the experince!!!

Perfect Hanok stay. A beautiful traditional Hanok with modern facilities. Suited us perfectly. The location was amazing near a number of must see attractions. We are a short family so the small bathrooms were no problem, but if you’re tall going to the loo might be a bit of a squeeze. The host was really helpful and communicated in English which was super helpful. Many thanks.

Very Pleasant Stay @ Todaki Residence My hubby and I had a wonderful stay @ Todaki Residence for 6 nights from 6 Aug to 12 Aug 24. From the start of our booking, Mr. Hadoo was very prompt and responsive to our queries. The residence was fully equipped with all things that you need in a cosy home. Mr. Hadoo was very kind to arrange for a free taxi transfer to Gimpo Domestic Airport for both myself and hubby when I informed him that there will only be 2 guests instead of 3 guests staying at the residence. Would definitely come back to stay in Todaki Residence and recommend to friends and family. FM: foreveronthegoh

Loved it Lovely home in a lovely area. Kids thought it was cool staying in a traditional home. Nice area to walk around and through. Lots of little shops to explore, and right by the palace. A bit of a jog to the nearest metro entry, used taxis more often than not, which as there were 4 of us worked out to be not much difference over subway fare anyway. There is open screen roof section over the plants, which would let in mosquitos at night, but we just kept the bedroom doors closed and it wasn’t an issue. Each room had their own seperate adjustable a/c unit which blew as cold as you need, Hosts were lovely, helped us arrange transport and provided help in directing us to a clinic to help my wife who ended up fracturing her shoulder on the last day of our trip. The clinic was perfect, did everything they could, spoke English, and were cheap. Would stay here again.

Fantastic Stay in Traditional Home My family and I stayed here for two nights. This hanok is lovely! The property is well maintained and the host, Hadoo, was great at communicating what we needed (how to get in, garbage pickup details, et al). The hanok is near local grocery shopping, not terribly far from the subway, and there's a park close by. We really enjoyed our time here and know others will too!

Authentic experience I didn’t travel halfway around the world just to stay in a hotel. The location is stellar. It’s quiet at night but with many shops, cafes, and restaurants within a short walking distance. The only caution I would give is that this house is probably not best suited for larger/taller people. Mr. Todaki was a wonderful host.
