A truly terrible experience! First of all, the hotel's location is rather remote. We arrived close to 11 PM, and since we were two girls without access cards, we couldn't get into the lobby. A guest in his underwear helped us open the electric door. Once inside, it was a completely self-service hotel; there was no front desk, no staff, and no Chinese communication as advertised on Ctrip. We could only communicate in broken English using a small intercom button, similar to those in a parking lot. After checking in and receiving our room key, we discovered the room was wrong. I had booked two 1.31m beds, but we only had one 1.5m bed. Since communication in the lobby only allowed us to use the intercom button with the speakerphone, we were worried about revealing that we were two girls alone in a foreign country at night, so we didn't change rooms and decided to stay. The room had a very pungent smell from the renovations, and the ventilation couldn't be turned off (the button was broken), making a loud, booming noise that severely disrupted our sleep. There were two bath towels with curly hair on them, and hair on the sheets as well. The next morning, we explained the situation, and the staff asked if we wanted to change rooms. Since we had already disinfected and arranged our amenities in the room, we decided not to change and instructed them not to clean, only to empty the trash (which was disposed of that day). However, when we returned the following evening, we found the trash hadn't been disposed of, and the amenities hadn't been changed. Since we were checking out the next day, we chose to be patient. That evening, we decided to enjoy the hot springs on our last day, as it was a specialty of the hotel, and the bathtub was very large. However, halfway through our soak, we discovered the tub was leaking, flooding the floor and our luggage. We had to clean up the leaking water at midnight. I strongly advise everyone to avoid these self-service hotels, especially women. There's really no way to get your complaints resolved; you just have to endure it. Who wants staff coming to clean up water in the middle of the night? After returning home, we contacted the hotel about the price difference for the room we checked out of, as single and twin beds have different prices. The hotel responded that there would be no service offered because we had decided not to change rooms. I'm very grateful to Ctrip for helping to mediate and reassure us; otherwise, we would have had nowhere to turn for help. Avoid this hotel at all costs!
