Hotel TRAVELUS Myeongdong

The room was very spacious, and it came with a washing machine with a dryer, along with detergent. The refrigerator and freezer were also fully equipped. Welcome water was replenished for each person every time the room was cleaned. It was excellent. The towels were also clean. I would love to stay here again.

This new hotel offers well-equipped and very clean rooms. The two smaller rooms conveniently have Chinese-style outlets. Although the bathroom isn't a wet/dry separation, it's not a big issue, and plenty of towels are provided. The bathroom fixtures are nice with a good metallic finish, and there's even a door for ventilation. A refrigerator and a washer/dryer combo are also available, which are very convenient. In terms of service, I needed a clothes rack the night we arrived, and after communicating through Trip.com, it was quickly delivered to the room. Every time we left, the Korean gentleman on the first floor would enthusiastically greet us and often give my daughter local candy. One minor drawback is that there's only one elevator for a 17-story hotel, so waiting for it can take some time. Also, the staircases on each floor are quite high, making climbing them tiring. Regarding breakfast, there aren't many breakfast options in the immediate vicinity in the morning, and I didn't actively look for any. The hotel breakfast is on the basement level next door. It's not particularly extensive, but it's nutritious enough and convenient. As for the surroundings, the hotel's location is within a ten-minute walk of the bustling Myeongdong commercial district, so the area around the hotel is quite quiet. There are also various types of small restaurants on all sides, offering grilled chicken, fried chicken, beef soup, and more. They are mostly frequented by locals, and the food is delicious.

This is an apartment hotel, so there's no need for a room card; you get a code for direct entry. This is great for groups as you don't have to worry about not having enough cards. You receive the locker room code before 4 PM check-in, so you can store your luggage beforehand. The room number and entry code are sent after check-in. The room includes a washing machine with a dryer and a standard double-door refrigerator with both fridge and freezer compartments. There's also air conditioning and a fresh air ventilation system. The bathroom provides plenty of towels and bath towels, as well as four pairs of plastic slippers and one pair of bathroom slippers. The windows are double-glazed, offering excellent sound insulation from outside noise. However, the floorboards seem quite thin, so noise from the upstairs neighbors is noticeable. The breakfast options are limited, with no fruit and only lettuce and shredded red cabbage for vegetables. The coffee is very weak, like dishwater, so you're better off getting breakfast from a convenience store.

The room was incredibly clean and much larger than I expected. The washing machine in the room even had a dryer function, which was great for refreshing our shoes and mugs that were neatly arranged each day when we returned. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Myeongdong's main shopping street, and both Shinsegae and Lotte Duty Free are nearby. Plus, there's a CU convenience store right downstairs, which is super convenient. Highly recommend! 👍

I stayed for five nights, and on the last day, the housekeeper didn't clean the room even though I was out for six hours. I ended up having to clean up the tissues, hair, and bread crumbs myself when I returned to the room at night.

I booked an accessible triple room, so perhaps that's why it felt even more spacious, especially the bathroom. ☏ **Service:** 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I have to give a special shout-out to the service; it's not my first time in Seoul, but the staff here were exceptionally friendly. 1. **Early Check-in:** If you arrive and your room is ready, you can check in early without any extra charge. 2. **Laundry Service:** My room didn't have a washing machine, but it's been scorching hot in Seoul, so I accumulated a lot of dirty clothes from walking around and the first day's activities. I talked to the front desk, and they offered complimentary laundry service, which was a huge help! I was so touched 5555. The clothes came back smelling of disinfectant and perfectly folded, much better than I could do! 👌🏻 3. **Staff Friendliness:** Whether it was the outdoor front desk, the underground front desk, or staff in various positions, everyone was incredibly friendly and genuinely tried to help solve any issues. Kudos to the hardworking staff! ⭐ **Cleanliness:** If you need housekeeping, you just need to hang the 'clean my room' sign on your doorknob. The cleaning staff will empty the trash and make the bed. As long as you don't request a change of bedding, there are no extra charges. 🍘 **Breakfast:** The hotel breakfast is served in the basement restaurant until 10:00 AM. While the variety isn't extensive, it's enough to fill you up. A nice touch is that the menu changed during my stay. If you don't want to eat out, the hotel breakfast is a decent option. ⏰ **Final Tips:** The shower drain in my room wasn't very efficient, so there was some water accumulation, but thankfully it didn't affect usability. On the bright side, the hotel provides a very, very, very generous supply of towels! A peculiar point is that the water heater and underfloor heating switch are combined. If you want hot water, the underfloor heating will also turn on, so be sure to switch it off quickly, or your luggage might get heated up!🤣

Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off twice in two days, which was incredibly disruptive. We had to evacuate to the ground floor and then go back up, which took about an hour and a half each time. We didn't get any good rest because of these false alarms.

Saw this was a newly opened apartment-style hotel with few reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be much better than expected! 👍 Even though it's a self-service hotel, the staff at the entrance were very polite and accommodating, and they even offered luggage storage. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and recommend it to my friends.
