SOTETSU HOTELS THE SPLAISIR SEOUL DONGDAEMUN

The hotel's location is excellent, with three subway lines providing easy access to major Seoul attractions, and the airport shuttle bus stops right at the hotel entrance. The service is incredibly thoughtful; they even provided hand warmers in the dead of winter. The breakfast buffet offers a wider variety compared to similar-starred hotels overseas. Highly recommend!

It was pretty good and very clean. Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was fine. The service was also good, and it's really close to Dongdaemun. There's a convenience store right outside, and the subway station is downstairs. For the price, I'd say it's quite reasonable. After all, practicality was key for us since we were exploring Dongdaemun every day.

The room was spotless. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I cleaned everything myself, except for them emptying the trash daily. The front desk guy was great! We wanted to stay on the same floor as our friends, and even though it cost a bit extra, he really made an effort to put us together and accommodated our request not to be at opposite ends of the hall. We arrived late and there wasn't a Chinese-speaking staff member, but we managed to communicate smoothly using English and my phone's translator! Plus, the location is super convenient – literally three steps out the door and you're at the subway station (seriously, just three steps! 😀). There's a handy 7-Eleven nearby, and a food street not far away, making it easy to grab authentic Korean food. The subway lines (I think 2, 4, and 5) make it super easy to get anywhere! Oh, make sure to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, as other hotels usually provide them. They do have disposable slippers and sterilized pajamas! The WiFi was really fast too. The only downside is how far it is from Incheon Airport, but that's not the hotel's fault, given its otherwise fantastic location. On New Year's Eve, we even got to join in on the countdown activities and watched fireworks nearby, which was the perfect way to ring in 2026!

The location is absolutely fantastic! On New Year's Eve, there was a huge fireworks display right in the plaza next to the hotel. I was so surprised to find a subway entrance just five meters from the hotel door – incredibly convenient. APM is directly across the street, and Tennis Metro is also just across the road. Highly recommend!
