Grand Hyatt Seoul

I booked this room for 2300 a night with a friend. I saw some bloggers on Xiaohongshu saying the rooms were small and the ceilings were low, but honestly, it wasn't too bad (maybe because it was my first time staying at a 5-star hotel, so I don't know how good other 5-stars are). I'd recommend booking an afternoon tea on Naver. After checking in, change and enjoy afternoon tea. In the evening, the lobby has a total old money vibe, perfect for photos. If you're only staying one night, I highly recommend it, especially if you can get a good price! We originally booked a room with a regular view, but the front desk offered us a Namsan view room, though it was next to the elevator. They asked if we were okay with it, and we immediately said yes. However, if you're a light sleeper, definitely don't agree to it, because from around 6 AM onwards, you can hear the elevator going up and down.

It was crowded during check-in, but I really appreciated that they guided me to a separate waiting area, which was a pleasant place to sit. The room view was excellent, and the outdoor pool was particularly great.

I really loved the classic design; the whole environment was very comfortable. However, the hairdryer completely clashed with the classic, high-end feel of the place. It felt like a very cheap hairdryer, and it made my hair super frizzy...

This hotel was a blast, blending business travelers and vacationers seamlessly. I tried the lunch buffet, and all the dishes were delicious.

The hotel environment is great, but the check-in process was too slow. A male staff member initially wrote down the wrong room number, and then going up and down the elevators took a long time. This definitely needs improvement.

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. Although it's located halfway up a hill, there's a shuttle bus for tourists to Myeongdong and Hannam-dong, and it's also very convenient to call an Uber or a taxi right outside. If you don't go out, you can easily spend half a day at the hotel's swimming pool and gym during the day, and the lobby bar in the evening has a great ambiance with live music. Ambiance: The hotel has a very old-money feel. The window views are beautiful, and the colors of the mountain forest change with the seasons, which I imagine would also change one's experience of the hotel. The rooms are very beautiful; I highly recommend a mountain-view room. Service: The service is exceptionally attentive, breaking away from traditional Korean service. There are staff members at every point, especially in the gym and dining areas, who guide you, so you won't feel lost or confused when you go by yourself.

Excellent, far superior to Lotte Hotels. Conveniently located for easy access to Hannam-dong and Gangnam. The only drawback is that Korean taxi apps aren't very user-friendly; the GPS often seems inaccurate when trying to hail a cab. On a positive note, the shaved ice at the hotel lobby bar is absolutely delicious and a must-try!

Perched on a hillside, getting around was a bit of a hassle, but the hotel itself felt very high-end. The entrance and lobby had a very elegant, old-school luxury hotel vibe, and the service was incredibly professional. From my room, I had a panoramic view of the city. The room hallways and the rooms themselves felt a bit dated but were very clean, with an older decor style. The hotel has a gym, pool, and tennis courts. It's a really large property, nestled against the mountain, offering beautiful and comfortable scenery – perfect for a relaxing getaway.
