Sejong Hotel Seoul Myeongdong Reviews

An absolutely fantastic hotel with a superb location, highly recommended by my Korean friend. The subway station is right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere quickly. The rooms are spacious, the staff are very friendly, and the bed is larger than what you find in many newer hotels. Aside from the lobby being a bit cluttered outside, everything else was excellent.

The room's furniture and bedding were a bit old, but still clean. The shower had great water pressure, even though you had to stand in the bathtub. The best part is the excellent location, right outside Myeongdong Station Exit 10 on Line 4. It's also very close to the airport bus stop, only about 200 meters away. There are many 7-Eleven and CU convenience stores nearby, and it's relatively quiet compared to the bustling streets of Myeongdong itself. It's super convenient for getting anywhere, highly recommended.

The room was decent, reflecting the traditional style of an older hotel. It's a safe bet, with an excellent location and convenient surroundings. However, it's a bit unreasonable that they only provide one amusement park ticket per stay, even if you stay two nights.

Third time staying here. The location is super convenient, but the environment is just okay. The housekeeping staff can be quite noisy. However, the hotel's location truly makes up for it – it's easy to get anywhere, and the entrance is right next to Metro Line 4, Exit 10.

The room had bugs 😩 I got bitten, and it was very damp. Even after changing rooms, it was still damp and dark because it didn't get any sunlight.

This was a great stay. The room was spacious and bright, very clean with no strange odors. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and it was very quiet at night, so I slept really well. The front desk staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was efficient. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. All facilities were well-maintained; there was plenty of hot water and stable Wi-Fi. Good value for money, I recommend staying here.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Myeongdong Subway Station Exit 10. There's also a direct airport shuttle bus. It was so convenient to return and rest after a long day of shopping. The room was quite clean, though the facilities were a bit dated. But for me, convenience is key.

The downside is that there were former employees striking outside the hotel the entire time. It seems this hotel treats its staff very poorly. The daily room cleaning was also done very late, probably because they laid off so many employees. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The location, however, is excellent. It's super convenient for getting to major shops in Myeongdong like Olive Young (though a bit far from the duty-free shop). The subway station is right downstairs, and there's also a very large 7-Eleven downstairs with spacious seating for instant noodles. Other stores like GS25 are also nearby, and a 12-story Daiso is just across the street. The hotel doesn't provide disposable dental kits, so you can just buy them directly from Daiso. Myeongdong Cathedral is right behind the hotel, and there are quite a few historical attractions in the vicinity. Luggage storage is very convenient, and check-in is self-service.

Terrible. The facilities were awful. I'll never stay here again. It was a last-minute booking, and the price was ridiculously high, over 1000 a night, which is insane. And to top it off, there was no window.

A very close distance to myeongdong subway exit 10. Good location but having many stuffs at the hotel main door. Got spa, sauna but I didn’t try them, need extra paid. Room has bathtub, take bath in the tub. Room looked spacious but a bit noisy when next door using hair dryer. Still in acceptable level. All good enough

Pros: The room is spacious, and downstairs there's a subway station, a 7-Eleven convenience store, and an airport shuttle stop. Behind the hotel is the Myeongdong walking street. The window faces N Seoul Tower directly. Cons: The facilities are a bit old. Value for money: Absolutely fantastic! As someone who's out all day and only back to the hotel to sleep, it perfectly met my needs.

There's a small door in the room's wardrobe that opens into a space big enough for four people. I woke up at 5 AM to find my shoes had been moved, even though housekeeping hadn't come in yet. When I reported it to the front desk, they tried to shirk responsibility and didn't want to come up to check. After I threw a fit, they finally moved me to another room. There were no power outlets by the bed for charging, so I had to rely on a power bank at night. The bedside tables were covered in dust, the bathtub had dead bugs, and the towels were dirty. There was no doorman to open the door when I arrived, which was really inconvenient with my luggage. Plus, the main entrance was full of protest signs and uncleaned trash. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel unless you absolutely have no other choice.

It is very old hotel with poor maintenances. The walls are chipped away and stripped. There are a rummage of trash at the entrance of hotel.
