Hotel M9 Sepang KLIA & KLIA 2

Wangcai was a lot of fun. I arrived very late at night, and after a full day of flying, I was so tired I just slept until I woke up naturally. It's very close to the airport.

Pros: The hotel's close proximity to the airport makes it perfect for an overnight layover. A Grab taxi from the airport cost 33 MYR and took 16 minutes. The hotel also offers a taxi service to the airport for just 30 MYR, which was even cheaper than what I paid. The ride to the airport at 5:30 AM only took 10 minutes. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and there are plenty of dining options nearby that are much more affordable than those at the airport. Cons: Noise was a major issue. While the occasional plane flying overhead was tolerable, the constant loud noise from the elevator was not. It sounded like someone stomping around in hard plastic shoes on a tile floor, and it continued intermittently throughout the night, preventing me from getting a good night's sleep. I wonder if a room further away from the elevator would have been better.

This hotel is absolutely terrible. The air conditioning doesn't work, and there are cockroaches everywhere. It's insane they charge these prices for such a dump.

I stayed here for a layover in February, and chose it again for my layover this time. The location is excellent, right by the airport. You can see it as soon as you get off the airport shuttle bus at T2, and it's just a two-minute walk away. The breakfast buffet was also good.

The hotel is indeed very close to the airport, it takes about 15 minutes to get there without traffic! Aside from the shower design being a bit odd, everything else in the room was great. Most importantly, the hotel rooms were clean, bright, and quite new – really good for a budget hotel.
