wrote: There are no words to describe the magical experience that I had the honor and pleasure to experience at the brand new Ritz Carlton Masai Mara. As a life time titanium elite member with a personal ambassador I travel weekly with Marriott Bonvoy but I have never ever dreamed of nor stayed at such an extraordinary property. Justin Landry the General Manager contacted me and my group three weeks before we arrived to schedule a 30 minute briefing (of my 3006 lifetime nights with Marriott no general manager has ever done that) and from that call on I knew my 55th birthday trip was going to be something special. Still nothing prepared me for the three nights of perfection. The people of Masai Mara are the warmest kindest souls I have ever encountered. They are a family and they welcome every guest into it. Their culture, their spirit, and their happiness is so rejuvenating and makes you rethink what have we done wrong in our own. The simple things are everything and they appreciate it all and so do I as I leave today. Justin handpicked every member of the exceptional team. Our guide was Kool whose knowledge of the safari park is mind boggling. He knows everything about every species and why each exists. He captivated our group of three and each time we went out it was another incredible journey seeing something entirely new. We saw lions mating one afternoon and zebras mating the next. We saw an entire family of elephants cross the road with the babies clinging onto their sides. We saw a leopard run up a tree after being chased by a hyaena as they fought over the leopards kill. We saw Beautiful birds who each have a purpose in the park which is in the end for the cats who are always the kings. We had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a hot air balloon safari on my actual birthday which was amazing. Another morning the ritz prepared a bush breakfast for the guests which they staged in the middle of the park with full stoves, linens and even a lieu with a view. At the end of the our last day we had a sundowner aka golden sunset happy hour by the fire pit that they made with a full bar and snacks. Back at the Ritz camp the tents are beautiful and look and feel like modern villas with safari style. The architecture and furnishings are magnificent and you feel bad not enjoying them more since you are barely in them. The housekeeping staff is immaculate and does your laundry every day and prepared a lovely birthday message out of African beads for me in the living room. The sommelier hosted an incredible wine tasting showcasing south African wines and the beautiful bartender Mercy prepared intoxicating cocktails and hosted a mixology class for us where we became Bartenders for a bit and we loved it. Mercy taught me a fabulous trick that you can add wasabi paste to any drink and obtain the perfect spice I am always looking for. The spa was serene and luxurious. My daughter called ahead and purchased a 60 minute massage for m

As someone who has stayed at hundreds of Marriott hotels, ritz masa still amazed me, not only with the unexpected facilities on the grasslands, but also with the friendly and professional service provided by the team. Special thanks to my friend Shirley,Because I was still breastfeeding and needed to freeze my breast milk, she helped me complete this task every day, allowing me to go safari with peace of mind. And in th canopy,She and mercy made me nice milkshakes, I tried avocado, mango, blueberry. and she made me a ginger tea syrup called cawa(something prounce like this) to treat colds. And macharia from the photography center, he took a lot of beautiful photos of us and taught us how to pose. Finally, I would like to thank Mike. This is our second visit, and because of Mike's guidance, we saw many scenes that we didn't see last time. Everything was unforgettable, next time I will back with my daughter for sure.

If you are considering a trip to the Masai Mara in Kenya, both the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott deliver experiences that are truly unforgettable. I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the moment you arrive, the staff delivers the highest standard of hospitality—exceptional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your stay memorable. The quality of the food is absolutely off the charts, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options. The vast majority of the fruits and vegetables that you eat during your stay are grown on site by the Marriott team. The cold soups were especially impressive. I didn’t have a single one that wasn’t exceptional! One of the most impressive aspects of staff and management at both hotels is their deep commitment to the land, wildlife, and surrounding community. They go above and beyond to ensure their presence benefits the Masai Mara ecosystem and its people, while also providing guests with an unforgettable safari experience. I feel it’s worth addressing the negative publicity surrounding the Ritz-Carlton's location. In speaking with numerous locals during our stay, it became clear to me that much of the controversy is politics. Contrary to rumors, the animal migration paths have not been affected. But rather, the situation involves a seasonal camp losing its location to a year-round establishment, not any threat to wildlife. Also, having visited the Mara and spent days watching all sorts of animals, they hardly pay the people or cars any mind. We are mere specks on their radar in the vast and beautiful wilderness that is the Mara.

What a disgusting place where you take the place that has been ancestral and the pass for animals to build a place like this. It makes me sick how humans now days all matters is money.

This hotel was built on a wildlife migration route, which is completely irresponsible and unacceptable. Its presence has disrupted the natural movement of wildlife, causing clear harm to animals and their habitat. The location is terrible, and the environmental damage is serious. This project demonstrates a total disregard for environmental ethics, prioritizing profit over wildlife conservation. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances.

This place uses animals and nature as marketing while destroying and exploiting them. They block the vital migratory paths, leading to confusion and deaths of the entire existing ecosystem. If you go there be sure you'll be supporting the destruction of the few beautiful untouched places there are left in this world
