Hotels near Avalokitesvara Nunnery, Shanghai

Very clean facilities and great service from the staff. Highly recommended. My daughter loved the Elsa room

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and professional service. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and the room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the view — whether from the room or the rooftop, it was truly impressive. I also appreciated the amenities: a well-equipped gym, a relaxing pool area, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. The location was ideal, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport, which made getting around very convenient. I also liked how quiet the rooms were despite being in a busy area. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

The room at Pudong Shangri-La was impressively large and very comfortable, making the stay relaxing and pleasant. Visiting during the festive season was a bonus, as the hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations that added a warm and cheerful atmosphere. The complimentary Chinese dinner at the Osmanthus restaurant was a delightful surprise — the food was delicious and the portions were just right. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options catering to different tastes. However, I was quite disappointed by an incident related to hygiene. I witnessed a pastry server dropping a croissant on the floor and then placing it back onto the tray. This was unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. I sincerely hope the hotel will place greater emphasis on food hygiene training for their F&B staff, as everything else about the stay was otherwise excellent.

The hotel is located near Nanjing pedestrian road, only5-10 mins walk from Mosaic department store. The family room is really big and suitable for big Family of 4-6 people😊 There are lots of plugs in the room. The room is well equipped with all necessary things. The only one point I want to improve is to change some breakfast menu. (I stayed here 3 days , same menu everyday😂) The flushing water in the toilet is not that strong, but it is nice automated toilet! The staffs are very polite and friendly. My family love this hotel so much😍

Great location in xuhui, many restaurants, cafes, and bars are walkable. The owner responds quickly to messages as well.

I would like to sincerely commend Jude from the concierge team at Waldorf Astoria for his exceptional service. Despite it being 12am, Jude was incredibly helpful and proactive in assisting me with a parcel that was mistakenly sent to the wrong address. His willingness to help at such a late hour, coupled with his calm and professional attitude, truly reflects the high standards of service associated with Waldorf Astoria. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Jude — his dedication did not go unnoticed and made a stressful situation much easier to manage. The other team members in the concierge department also did a helpful job with our baggage. It’s just unfortunate that I can’t have my Meituan food delivery sent by the hotel staff directly to my room. This was inconvenient but I understand the food and hygiene aspects that they uphold. Generally, a pleasant stay with best location. The bund view is just too awesome!

I brought my kids to Haichang Park. The B&B is very close, just over 2 kilometers away. It is very convenient to take a taxi/order takeout/get close to the subway. The B&B facilities are very new, the room is very clean, and the scenery outside the window is great!

Nice place, enjoy room, near subway and shop

The place is acceptable, the price is reasonable, the service is acceptable, and the room is acceptable considering the price. Overall, this hotel is acceptable.

I checked into the hotel restaurant during my stay, and it completely exceeded my expectations – a five-star review! The ambiance was exquisite and clean, with a spacious layout and ample seating, suitable for solo dining, small gatherings with friends, or family meals. The soft lighting created a wonderful atmosphere. The ingredients were high-quality and visibly fresh. Each dish was perfectly seasoned, with no disappointments. The presentation was elegant and sophisticated, and the service was consistently fast. The service was a huge plus. They warmly welcomed me and guided me to my seat, proactively refilling my tea and changing my plates throughout. They responded quickly and professionally to any requests.
