The moment the bathroom fan was turned on, a strong smell of smoke filled the air. My child almost needed allergy medication because of it. The location is terrible; there's no parking, and ordering a taxi is a hassle. The hotel is on a corner, so cars can't pull over, and the surrounding roads are inconvenient. The entire hotel only has one small, very slow elevator. The elevator next door belongs to the restaurant, and a staff member told us we couldn't use it, which immediately put us in a bad mood after checking in. This hotel is awful. We will never come back.

This is my first time leaving a bad review for a hotel.
The first room they assigned me had a low-frequency noise. I asked to switch rooms, but they said they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate me, so I had to sleep with noise-canceling earplugs for the night.
The next day, I switched rooms, only to find the air conditioning's cooling function was broken. I was sweating profusely right after a shower. While Shanghai's weather might not always require AC, it's essential for the equipment to work properly, isn't it? The room temperature was also around 26-27 degrees Celsius, making it hard to fall asleep and quite uncomfortable.
The bath towels were packed in bags, which is fine to encourage less usage, but when you need one, it should be usable, right? I only used one towel throughout my stay, and it had a foul odor.

The room had sewage smell from the toilet, not very nice though. They sent people to fix the blockage in the toilet however you can definitely smell it when the door was opened.
