THE TREASURY·NOA Hotel Shanghai -Jing'an Temple

Mini-bar: Having stayed at Deck in Xiamen before, I chose this hotel this time. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around, and parking is great. There are plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and it's also a short walk to Jing'an Temple.

This hotel has a really artsy vibe, and I noticed quite a few international guests. The breakfast was also pretty unique, a semi-buffet style. The rooms are smart-tech enabled, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It's quite close to Jing'an Temple Metro Station, about a 10-minute walk. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we mentioned that noise from the adjacent room was affecting our sleep, she immediately upgraded our room. Her service attitude and responsiveness were prompt and proactive, making us feel right at home. Seeing our new room bright and clean brought a sense of calm comfort and reassurance. It made us cancel our plans to book another hotel for the next day, and we extended our stay for several more nights through Trip.com. Highly recommended!

I stayed here last May, about a year ago, and had a great experience – it was especially clean. This time, when I came to Shanghai, I didn't hesitate to book the same hotel again for two consecutive nights. However, I never expected such a drop in hygiene standards in just one year! The duvet was incredibly thick. When I asked the front desk if they had a thinner one, the answer was no. I could clearly hear people drinking and talking loudly outside late at night. The room smelled distinctly of sewage! The slippers in the room were of terrible quality; as soon as I opened the packaging, there was a strong, cheap plastic smell. Regarding the facilities: the electric blinds couldn't be stopped at will. And who uses a shower head at that height? What's more, it looked suspiciously like a camera. When we first entered the room, there were hairs on the countertop. We called housekeeping, and they immediately moved us to another room. Yet, there were still hairs on the bathroom counter in that one, so we had to move again. There were little red specks in the fridge, which was truly disgusting. I didn't get any good sleep for two whole nights.

The experience at JOYA Shanghai exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Jing'an Temple subway station, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The industrial style blended with old villa architecture creates a unique and stylish atmosphere, and the common areas are full of artistic flair. The room was clean and tidy, well-designed, and the bedding was comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floors offered stunning views of Shanghai's skyline. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, even kindly helping me with a room upgrade. The ground floor offers coffee by day and cocktails by night, and the breakfast Benedict eggs and Shanghainese wontons were amazing. It's a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle, with great value for money. A must-stay when visiting Shanghai!

The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The blackout curtains were excellent, and the water pressure was great. Overall, I had a very good experience. There are many small bars and restaurants nearby, making dining and getting around very convenient. I'm very satisfied and will definitely be back!

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The staff are very friendly and the room's bedding is spotless. They even offer a complimentary craft beer!
