Holiday Inn SHANGHAI PUDONG AIRPORT by IHG

Unexpectedly good! I didn't have high expectations for an airport hotel, but this one really elevates the standard. The location is a given – it's incredibly convenient, just 15 minutes from the terminal. The facilities are very new, and I especially loved the wireless charger by the bed. The service was excellent; even for a short one-night stay, they were very responsive to all requests and provided clear guidance. The hotel breakfast is also a huge plus, almost five-star quality. It's almost good enough to make you want to book a flight just to have it again!

The location and environment are excellent. However, there are five drawbacks: 1. **Visible cleanliness was great, including the bathroom.** But I found a pile of dust behind the air purifier. 2. **The air conditioner made a loud humming noise.** Even when turned off, there was still a humming sound, and I couldn't tell if it was from outside or a neighboring room. I didn't see any AC units on the exterior walls, so I'm not sure where the sound was coming from. 3. **They thoughtfully arranged a room close to the elevator, which was great since I arrived late and tired with luggage.** However, the window of the family room was in a recessed part of the building, so it didn't get as much sunlight as other rooms. The garden view felt like it was sandwiched between the building walls. 4. **There was no strange odor in the bathroom, but the room itself always had a dusty smell.** The children's playmat also had an odor (though the tent didn't). 5. **I wasn't very satisfied with the room design.** The bathroom was almost as big as the main room, which was crammed with furnishings, making it hard to walk around. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this family room and didn't sleep well. It was a bit of a letdown.

We didn't check into the hotel until around 10:30 PM, after watching the fireworks at Disney. The staff member at the front desk, Zhang Ruilong, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He patiently listened to our needs and provided excellent assistance!

I had an early international flight, so I chose the newly opened Holiday Inn to avoid a stressful rush. It's super convenient, located between T1 and T2 terminals. It's only an eight-minute walk to T2. The front desk staff, JERRY, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They upgraded us to an airport-view room for free, gave us complimentary drinks, and even included two breakfast vouchers! The breakfast spread was fantastic and had a great variety. What a pleasant surprise!
