Yueshan Qihang Youth Job Apartment (Shanghai East Nanjing Road Subway Station)

The apartment's location is unbeatable – just a few minutes' walk to both the subway station and Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street. 👍 The closest exit to the apartment is Nanjing East Road Station Exit 5 (you're there right after crossing the road), but if you have large luggage, I recommend Exit 6 as it has an escalator (Exit 5 requires you to carry luggage up stairs). I want to give a huge shout-out to Xiao Zhou, the young man at the front desk. Although he might be a bit shy and quiet, he's incredibly helpful and willing to assist guests with their requests. 👍 The pillows in the apartment were soft and flat, and when I asked for two extra pillows, they were delivered to my room in less than 10 minutes. Later that evening, after coming back from shopping, I noticed the shower gel and shampoo hadn't been refilled. When I asked another guy at the front desk, he seemed reluctant to help and even asked why we didn't request it when we went out in the morning. Seriously, how are we, as guests, supposed to know that replenishing shower gel and shampoo isn't part of the room cleaning service? All in all, it felt like he was making excuses not to help. 😡 Luckily, I happened to bump into Xiao Zhou in the elevator, and after I asked him, the shower gel and shampoo were delivered to my room in less than 10 minutes. Xiao Zhou is the best! Regarding cleanliness: Everything visible was clean and tidy. 👍 However, areas not easily seen were quite dirty. 🥺 (See the last 3 photos for proof).

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby to the public areas and guest rooms, I could feel that nostalgic Old Shanghai vibe, making me want to whip out my phone and take pictures everywhere. As soon as I entered my room, I noticed it was a standard apartment-style hotel, fully equipped with a kitchen, fridge, and washing machine. The front desk staff even gave me a free room upgrade when I checked in. A huge thumbs up! 👍

The location is extremely central, right by the pedestrian street, and transportation is very convenient. As soon as you exit Nanjing East Road Metro Station Exit 5 and turn left, you'll see it. It's just a short walk to the pedestrian street and a bit further to the Bund. Plus, there are tons of food options downstairs, making it super convenient. It's an excellent choice for tourists! 👍
