Love the location as it was close to the airport and we needed a day to recover. Quiet and quaint but the rooms were big like a suite. Also, love the aesthetic of each room. Would recommend to any traveler who can afford to waste a day in Shanghai after a long flight.

Good service with big room. As the building itself it more than 100 years, can’t blame them for having some damaged parts in the room. But those damaged areas are not something that we will even touch or be near at

I had only heard about it in the past, but last week I was lucky enough to experience the warm and rich culture of the Siheyuan in person.
When I opened the window in the corridor, I saw pictures of Grandma En fanning herself in the courtyard to cool off.
If I could really travel through time and space, I would give up the high-rise buildings and return to the old Siheyuan in Chuansha Ancient Town, and then choose to stand barefoot on the fertile land that gave birth to my ancestors, breathe in the same air as my ancestors, close my eyes and taste the rich hometown feeling that Yiyuan brought me!

This is the first B&B we stayed in when visiting Shanghai for the first time. It has a great experience and a sense of the times. The room is really super big, antique and very charming.
