Amanyangyun's design is beautiful, and the property is expansive. The entire estate is very peaceful, with a riverside, boat rides, a cinema, and even two white peacocks. Just strolling around is incredibly relaxing. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, making it highly enjoyable; you won't get bored even if you don't leave the premises. However, the string lights, food carts, and floral wreaths near the lake are quite out of place with the overall aesthetic and would be better removed. In terms of hardware, the gym is very well-equipped, and there are two large swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. The water pressure in the guest room shower is particularly noteworthy – it's almost the most comfortable and ideal pressure I've experienced in any hotel. Room cleaning is also excellent; on the morning of my check-out, I went for breakfast, and upon returning, the room had already been tidied. However, there's a slight issue with the guest room door; if you let go after opening it, it doesn't close automatically but rather gets stuck, requiring an extra push to shut completely. Additionally, the air conditioning vent is in an awkward position, blowing directly onto your face when lying in bed. Overall, the service was the most satisfying aspect of this stay. Almost all staff members were very friendly, and the hotel was great at recognizing guests. Several times when I went to the restaurant, the staff already recognized me, and I didn't even need to state my room number, making the whole process very smooth. When there weren't many people at breakfast, food was served quickly, and tables were cleared very promptly; used dishes or rubbish were usually taken away immediately. At check-out, the hotel even gave several small gifts, and the turndown service gifts were also very practical, including the hotel's small tote bag and baseball cap, which I preferred over simple ornaments. The lady in the boutique also left a deep impression on me. She was very knowledgeable about the hotel itself and the stories and information behind the items in the store. Her introductions were very professional, and she had high emotional intelligence. However, there were relatively few items in the boutique directly related to Aman itself; most were from other brands, which was a slight shame. Of course, there were also some noticeable minor issues with the service. One time at breakfast, a staff member at the restaurant entrance opened the door for a foreign guest and ushered them in. I was right behind them, and she clearly saw me but didn't hold the door, instead turning away and letting it close directly in front of me. This detail left a poor impression. Also, in areas like the restaurant and spa, I occasionally saw a few staff members gathered together chatting, which was slightly out of sync with the hotel's generally quiet and restrained atmosphere. Finally, the location is indeed quite remote, making it suitable for a dedicated hotel getaway. However, if you frequently need to travel back and forth to Shanghai city center during your stay, it would be quite inconvenient. Despite these points, the good far outweighs the bad, and it's definitely worth a special trip and a return visit.

What an amazing trip! After dropping my sister off at school, I finally had some free time to myself. I wanted to reward myself before the hustle and bustle of senior year and grad school prep truly began. So, I chose Aman Shanghai, Yangyun for my first Aman experience – hoping to briefly escape the noise, find a moment of peace, and personally experience the service and lifestyle that Aman represents. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, every aspect was meticulously and perfectly executed: the attentive yet unobtrusive service, the instant responses from my dedicated service team, the gym, the restaurant, and even the traditional Chinese painting class, evening tea, and Yunjin fan making I participated in. Every single detail gave me a rare sense of relaxation and warmth. The staff here didn't deliberately try to create a 'luxury' feel; instead, they genuinely made me feel respected, cared for, and even gave me a long-lost sense of security, like returning home. Perhaps this is the true meaning of travel. It's not just about sleeping in a different place for a night, nor is it simply piling on so-called luxury with expensive bedding and exquisite furnishings. It's about slowing down the body, calming the mind, and reinvigorating the spirit during a temporary escape from daily life. I also particularly loved the sense of history embodied by Aman Yangyun's ancient trees, old houses, and the entire garden. Walking among them naturally evoked a quiet and solemn feeling. For me, those ancient buildings and trees, preserved through time, took on an additional layer of meaning: blessings, reflection, and new beginnings. I think that when I return to my studies and life in senior year and dive into preparing for the 2027 grad school entrance exam, I will still remember this day spent at Aman Yangyun – recalling this truly relaxing experience for both body and mind, and the spiritual comfort it brought me. I hope that when I'm tired in the future, this day will remind me: work hard, but also live well; and before chasing goals, it's okay to occasionally pause and gather strength for a new beginning. We got an upgraded room, and the surroundings were naturally beautiful. The staff were all very attentive and thoughtful, and they were also very kind and loving with the children. The activities offered were diverse and enriching. It was a fantastic stay!

Having previously stayed at Aman Tokyo and other Aman properties, I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful our experience at Amanyangyun was. From the moment we arrived, staff actively greeted us and helped with our luggage to our room. Then, at the front desk, front office supervisor Xiao Ma and Xiao Gan provided warm and thoughtful service. What truly touched me was Xiao Ma, the front office supervisor. She accompanied me throughout my stay, providing incredibly warm and meticulous care, and anticipating all my needs. Xiao Ma's professionalism and attentiveness were outstanding; she always appeared precisely when needed, subtly resolving everything for us. Front office manager Xiao Wang was also exceptionally detail-oriented and provided us with incredibly warm and attentive service. During our two-night stay, almost all the staff we encountered were enthusiastic, proactive, and highly service-minded. Their communication and coordination among themselves also seemed very smooth. It's clear that Amanyangyun's management must possess top-tier management thinking to enable such outstanding overall performance from their entire team. For this, I feel it's essential to highly commend Amanyangyun's management here. I'd also like to thank front office manager Xiao Wang, front office supervisor Xiao Ma (the young lady from Shanghai), and Xiao Gan. I look forward to staying at Amanyangyun again in the future and hope to see Xiao Wang, Xiao Ma, and Xiao Gan once more.

The hotel's overall environment is absolutely beautiful, making it a top choice for a city staycation. All staff members greet guests with a friendly smile, which makes for a very pleasant experience. Serena, in particular, handled our check-in and provided a very detailed introduction to all the hotel's facilities. She even thoughtfully escorted our luggage to the room and thoroughly explained everything inside. The Yinlu Restaurant is excellent, and the hotel breakfast, which is semi-buffet style, is consistently good. The hotel's photography service is also fantastic; the photographer gives great guidance, and the makeup artist is quick and skilled.

Our two-night stay at Amanyangyun far exceeded our expectations; it's almost impossible to find fault with anything, from the service to the facilities. The day before check-in, I received a call from Ms. Ma at the front desk, inquiring about any special requests for our stay and sending me the hotel's dining menu. She even personally came out to warmly greet us upon arrival for check-in. Ms. Ma, a brilliant Shanghai native who excels in both substance and style, truly deserves commendation. All our meals—breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner at the Italian restaurant—were served by a wonderful lady named Ms. Lu, whose attentive and meticulous service left a deep impression. Overall, the proactive and enthusiastic service attitude and standard of the hotel staff we encountered were on par with high-end Japanese hotels, and distinctly superior to the service levels at the other two Aman properties in China. Aman's service always speaks for itself, but what's truly commendable is that everything in the public areas, including disposables, is replaced after each guest, so you never feel like anything has been used before. The restaurant offers Jiangxi cuisine, Italian food, and hotpot; personally, I found the Jiangxi dishes better than the Italian. There are also both indoor and outdoor pools – the outdoor one is great for sunbathing and a refreshing swim, while the indoor one is heated. Finally, the hot springs offer both a cold and a hot pool. It's a truly comprehensive and luxurious wellness hotel.

The facilities and services were great, but Shanghai was incredibly hot, and even with lots of trees, it still felt scorching!

The service here is incredibly thoughtful and meticulous, with a 24-hour dedicated butler service that is truly exceptional. A special thank you goes to Wang Hao from the front office for his warm welcome and assistance. Amanyangyun, designed by the legendary Kerry Hill (who also designed Aman Tokyo), seamlessly blends modern minimalist aesthetics with Chinese culture, creating a unique meditative space. With a Michelin-starred restaurant, exquisite landscaping, and a rich variety of activities, it truly stands out as a prime example among China's three Aman properties.
