Shanghai Huayi Resort

It's been a few days since I got back home, and I still can't stop thinking about this hotel: unique design, elegant and pleasant environment, and warm, thoughtful service.

What a pleasant surprise this weekend trip was! I didn't expect to find such a fantastic resort just over an hour's drive from the city center. The hotel grounds are huge, perfect for those who enjoy fresh air and leisurely strolls. The restaurant food was also delicious; I ate there four times, and the home-style dishes were generously portioned. The staff, especially the aunties, were incredibly warm and welcoming. I loved their organic pears, and Auntie Sun even went out of her way to pick a large bag for me to take home. The pool was also excellent – uncrowded and clean. The entire trip was incredibly relaxing.

The hotel is huge, like a big garden, and it's great for photos. My family had a wonderful time. The Chinese restaurant was delicious, and both dinner and breakfast were good. Plus, you can even ride bikes for free, which is awesome! The service was absolutely exceptional, truly outstanding. We'll definitely be back.

The hotel is quite spacious and even has its own vegetable garden, making it perfect for families with children or elderly guests. They offer free bicycle rentals, and the pool is very clean. There are no dining options nearby, so you'll need to eat at the hotel, but the food is generally good.

What you see is what you get, exactly like the photos. This hotel truly promotes a healthy lifestyle, with a diet low in salt, oil, and no processed foods. The first meal was a pleasant surprise, but after a while, it became a bit much, haha. It's all about healthy living here. The hotel has a lot of greenery, but consequently, quite a few mosquitoes. It would be even better if they could manage them like a certain well-known brand (referring to mosquito control). The staff are all very enthusiastic, and the service is great. How to put it? I feel it's more suitable for older people or those who are stressed and looking to relax. It's a great place for recuperation and healing.

The journey was a bit slow due to traffic on Qingming Festival, taking over two hours to get here from the city. But once we entered the gates, it felt like a hidden paradise. Unlike the more crowded and open East and West suburbs, this place offers privacy and tranquility, letting you enjoy a pastoral landscape all to yourself. The staff were all very kind and friendly, always striking up a conversation. Our room was spotless and tidy, and the huge balcony was perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The lakeside restaurant serves fresh, home-style dishes with an amazing view. There's a wide array of activities too: cycling, painting, making Qingtuan (green rice balls), and even roasting marshmallows in the evening! Definitely worth a visit.

The room's decor instantly creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the bed is incredibly comfortable – I slept soundly until morning. The resort environment is very relaxing, clean, and well-equipped, offering options for exercise, table tennis, and swimming. The service is attentive; they anticipate guests' needs and take care of everything. If you prefer not to go out, you can also pick vegetables at the resort or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beautiful grounds.
