Gokurakuyu Hot Spring Hotel Shanghai Chuansha

This was my second visit, and unfortunately, the soundproofing in the room was terrible. If you're a light sleeper, you'll need earplugs to get any rest, as you can clearly hear the TV and conversations from the next room. The room's Wi-Fi was also incredibly slow and kept lagging, making it impossible to even order takeout. I also wasn't told about the afternoon tea during check-in and only remembered it on check-out day. What's more, the water in the water park was cold this time! The weather is getting colder, and even though it was warm at midday, the water was still freezing. Forget the kids, even adults couldn't handle it. The first time I visited, it was during the hottest part of summer, and the water was fine, but this time it was just too cold! Also, the towels provided at the water park entrance were tiny. I suggest switching to larger bath towels because these are too small to wrap around yourself. And can someone please manage the adults using the kids' water slides? It's really dangerous! Kids playing in the water could easily get hit by adults coming down the slides. The first time I came, there were staff members supervising, but this second visit in September, there was no one. The slide (see picture four) clearly states it's a 'children's slide,' it's just ridiculous! 🤦‍♀️

An absolutely amazing onsen hotel! The hot spring water was so smooth, and the room had a fantastic view. The service was meticulous, the meals were exquisite and delicious, and watching the sunset from the open-air bath was breathtaking. The whole family was happy, I've already recommended it to friends, and we'll definitely be back!

Met up with a friend for a weekend staycation in the city, and we came to Jile Hot Springs to relax. The entire third floor is guest rooms, and business was booming, almost fully booked. After a tiring day of fun, you can head straight upstairs to rest – it was so incredibly relaxing. The room wasn't huge, but it was very clean, and they even had an air freshener. Breakfast tasted good, though the variety wasn't extensive, it was certainly filling. The staff were efficient and professional, and the front desk handled services very quickly.

The soundproofing in the room was terrible. When it rained outside, the noise made me feel like I was drowning. Plus, I could hear people talking in the next room as if they were right there with me. Early in the morning, there were a lot of kids crying and screaming. It reminded me of the 'Ventriloquism' text from middle school – I really couldn't get any rest.

We booked a deluxe king room, and it was very quiet. We specifically brought our child to enjoy the water, and they had a fantastic time. This was our second visit. The only issue was that right after we checked out the second time, while I was driving, the hotel kept calling for follow-up, which felt unsafe.

Our stay was decent, but the room was located within the bathhouse, so we had to walk barefoot everywhere. After leaving, my feet felt itchy, which might have been partly psychological. The breakfast experience, however, was very poor. We had to catch the hotel shuttle to the airport at 6:30 AM, but breakfast only started at 6:30 AM. When we checked in, the front desk told us we could get some packed breakfast to take with us earlier. But the next day at breakfast, the manager said we couldn't pack anything, as if we were trying to pull a fast one. Later, a kind auntie secretly packed us some corn and eggs, which we really appreciated ❤️. However, as guests who had already paid for breakfast, having to sneak food out felt really bad. Since the hotel offers shuttle services to the airport or Disneyland, I suggest they provide a simple packed breakfast service for guests who need to leave early, especially those who have paid for breakfast. It doesn't need to be fancy; even a simple bread and yogurt per person would show goodwill from the hotel.
