Greentree Inn (Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Zoo Metro Station)

I checked in on August 25th, 2026, at 8:20 PM. The front desk staff member demonstrated exceptional professionalism, clearly a result of rigorous training in the hospitality industry. I was extremely satisfied.

The location is quite convenient, not far from the subway station. The environment is decent; rooms facing the residential buildings are quieter. Cleanliness is acceptable. They even have a robot to deliver food! Overall, the value for money is pretty good.

After staying here for over ten years, this is my first negative review! Here's why: 1. **Transportation**: It's 3-4 kilometers from the subway station, which is extremely inconvenient. 2. **Dining**: There are almost no dining options in the hotel's vicinity. If you turn right outside the hotel, you'll find two or three small, humble eateries a bit further down, making dining very inconvenient. 3. **Hotel Facilities**: The hotel facilities are old and rundown, and maintenance is clearly lacking. There's a strong, stale, old odor. I checked two different rooms, and both had a noticeable smell. Since I arrived quite late, I didn't bother changing hotels. 4. **The Most Unbearable**: I took a shower at 7 AM, and the drain was completely blocked. In no time, the entire bathroom was flooded. As someone who appreciates cleanliness, I almost felt nauseous. The water had barely receded by check-out at noon. When I mentioned it to the front desk attendant, her tone suggested that a blocked drain and standing water were perfectly normal. See the pictures for details. This hotel is located on Hami Road, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Every step you take on a stroll offers a lovely view, with Zhongxin Jing Park and the Xiyan Temple just a stone's throw away, showcasing Chinese, Western, and Huizhou-style landscapes. It's also very close to Shanghai Customs, just a 5-minute walk! The metro station and zoo are only 10 minutes away, which is super convenient! The hotel is clean and the service attitude is excellent. They even have robot delivery for takeout. You need to swipe your card to use the elevator, ensuring safety. The front desk staff are attentive and always willing to help, and the cleaning service is thoughtful and meticulous. The breakfast was also quite good! It was a great experience and definitely worth recommending!

The room was absolutely terrible. It was dirty, and the sheets were stained. This is the first negative review I've ever given in my life. I genuinely felt miserable staying there.
