Grand Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao

Unexpectedly, it was a suite with plenty of space and even a washing machine – a great hotel!

The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is great! The customer service was warm and generous, and the facilities were complete. It will definitely be my first choice for my next trip! The hotel lobby was spacious and bright, which made me feel happy.

Although the hotel is a bit older, the service and environment are excellent. The room is spacious with a bathtub, and the pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast and lounge are also great, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing vacation! Manager Liu from customer service provided exceptional, warm service and was able to fulfill all our requests! We look forward to our next stay!

Although the room was a bit old, all the hotel staff were incredibly proactive and enthusiastic. Even though we encountered a few minor issues during our stay, the staff immediately resolved them, which left me feeling very satisfied and pleasantly surprised. The hotel breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of dishes, and there were plenty of staff members on hand. Plus, breakfast started at 6 AM, which was perfect for us as we had an early flight – a big thumbs up! 👍 The executive floor staff were also fantastic, especially the service manager who proactively added me on WeChat to ask about our stay. When I mentioned an issue, it was resolved instantly – truly commendable! 👍 They even helped me print my son's exam papers. Later, I recommended a friend to stay, and they even upgraded his room, which was really great!

Facilities: As a long-established international hotel that has been open for many years, the facilities are exceptionally well-maintained, in good working order, and user-friendly. Cleanliness: Excellent. The cleaning staff were meticulous and organized. Environment: The location is superb, surrounded by the Gubei and Hongqiao business districts, making it extremely convenient for business travelers. The sleeping environment is quiet. The room balcony offers beautiful views; west-facing rooms overlook the western Shanghai skyline and Hongqiao Airport (as pictured). Service: Attentive yet respectful of personal space. The restaurant staff, in particular, were very polite without being overly effusive.

This hotel has a classic, old-school charm. The rooms are quite good, all equipped with kitchen and bathroom facilities. The washing machine works great! The executive lounge offers decent food, and breakfast is also quite rich. A big thank you to the front desk lady for arranging the extra bed!

Every single staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the kitchen, had a terrible attitude. Maybe it's because we're not VIPs or something. The hotel facilities are pretty mediocre; the elevator layout is confusing, and the room signage isn't clear at all. Any new hotel in the same price range would easily blow this place out of the water, and the service is truly abysmal. The gym only has treadmills, and the strength training equipment is completely useless – pure deception.

The environment is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. It's conveniently located near multiple subway lines, which makes getting around for sightseeing or commuting incredibly easy. Manager Liu was very friendly, and her service was both patient and professional.

I was here for a certification exam nearby. The floor I was on was very quiet, and the service was excellent in all aspects.
