The service truly deserves the highest praise. The lovely front desk lady saw my Diamond membership and upgraded me to a suite. These days, it's becoming rarer for Hilton Diamond members to get suite upgrades, so this was a pleasant surprise!
The hotel is a bit older, but generally clean. The East building requires walking through a long corridor, and the dining and executive lounge are all in the West building. So, for convenience, guests might prefer staying in the West building.
This is an international hotel, and there were many foreign guests and a lot of guests overall. The concierge's luggage storage was full, but the staff remained very organized and helpful, always ready to answer questions. Upon check-in, they offered freshly baked muffins, which instantly brightened my mood. Thumbs up!
The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety that catered to different tastes and ages, and the food tasted great.
You can walk to the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the Shanghai Museum East. A taxi ride is just the minimum fare. The metro is about a 10-minute walk away, making getting around quite convenient.
The only minor inconvenience is that food deliveries aren't brought up to the room; you have to go down to pick them up. So, for those who frequently order takeout, staying in the West building would be more convenient.
Overall, it offers great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
