The room setup, ambiance, and service were all excellent. The location is superb, making travel very convenient, with Xujiahui Metro Station just a 5-minute walk away. Breakfast was great, exceeding our expectations. Excellent value for money! 👍

Excellent central location in Xujiahui, making travel incredibly convenient. There's a fantastic variety of shopping and dining options nearby. **Facilities:** It has that typical Marriott style, and the quality is pretty good. **Hygiene:** Very good, clean. **Environment:** Surrounded by landmark buildings, malls, and attractions. The hotel itself is also a distinctive building; the rooftop looks like a magnificent golden temple. **Service:** Absolutely top-notch, couldn't ask for better.

Booked this hotel for my child's spring exam. From pre-sales to during the stay, from the duty manager to the front desk staff and housekeeping, everyone was polite, enthusiastic, and attentive, making us feel right at home. All our requests for the exam room were met in advance. The hotel is grand and clean with a rich breakfast spread. We'll definitely book here again for future exams.

The hotel has a nice location, great breakfast options and a nice swimming pool with a sauna. But overall experience was spoiled by a few moments. The first one was some trash on the floor of the room. The room wasn’t clean properly. We went to talk to the receptionist and they gave us another room right away. Rooms themselves look a bit tired and worn out. Beds are comfortable.

I chose to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui during the Christmas month. The room was clean and hygienic, the bedding was comfortable, and the service was very welcoming. I really liked the swimming pool, and the changing rooms were also very clean. It was a great stay overall.

The hotel is quite old, and the room is a bit small, probably because it's downtown. The price is about what you'd expect for the location. Parking costs 5 yuan an hour, and there are no parking vouchers. 😅😅😅 The main advantage is probably its geographical location; there are more places to visit downtown.

Great hotel and excellent service,gym and pool are outstanding for the price. Location is ok. Breakfast is also very very good. It’s a bit old and we had to swap out our room last time because it had a bit of an unpleasant smell but staff moved us right away. Again very professional service

Let's get straight to the point: I've never stayed in such a terrible hotel, and it's even a Marriott property! It's an absolute disgrace to the Marriott brand! Facilities: Just look at the pictures! Even a guesthouse in a small town would have better conditions than this place. Shabby chairs and cabinets, a TV from the 2000s, stained curtains, sofas, and carpets – it's truly a nightmare! For the price of over 800 yuan, there are so many other options nearby! Definitely don't choose this one. Service: I've never encountered worse service. As a Platinum member, I called to inquire about welcome fruit. The staff member who delivered it had a scowl on his face the entire time, didn't say hello, and just stood there holding the bowl, waiting for me to take it. I said thank you, and he turned and walked away without a word. Seriously?? Is this how they're trained? Is this polite? During check-in, I asked if an upgrade was possible for Platinum members. The response was: "There are no rooms available." I opened the app and showed him that there were plenty of rooms. He then said there wasn't much difference, just a higher floor. Fine, he seemed so reluctant, so I gave up. However, when I got to the room, one smelled terribly of mold, and the other reeked of air freshener, making me feel nauseous. I was so angry… I went back downstairs to change rooms. This time, it was a female staff member who had a much better attitude. The manager was dealing with another complaint, which gives you an idea of how dissatisfying this place is. Other issues like the limited breakfast selection, poor soundproofing, small rooms, and light-leaking curtains aren't even worth mentioning. I suggest they stop using the Marriott name; it severely tarnishes my impression of the brand.
