MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai

I recently stayed in a stunning river view room. The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and, upon learning I wanted a higher floor, promptly arranged for the room to be cleaned, and I was checked in very quickly. The bellboy was also very welcoming. The hotel is located right on the S-bend of the Bund, offering fantastic views from your room. You can enjoy afternoon tea at the hotel and watch the passersby on the Bund up close. The hotel's 'Magic Mirror' restaurant offers a prime spot to admire the S-bend. Every corner of this hotel is photo-worthy. Just across the street is the Bund promenade, and it's close to Yu Garden and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The 'Red House' building, about 100 meters away, is a beautiful spot for photos, and inside, you'll find the famous Li Bai Crab, a must-try Shanghai delicacy.

Thanks to Xiaoyu and Haolin for their excellent service! Our stay was great. We got an upgraded river-view room at a discounted price. The room wasn't huge, but the view was fantastic. Also, a huge, huge, huge shout-out to the breakfast – it was amazing!

The room was absolutely fantastic, directly facing the river with stunning views. All you have to do is go downstairs and cross the road, and you're right on the Bund. The ferry ticket office being directly opposite the hotel was super convenient. The room itself was well-equipped and extremely clean. Overall, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and there was even an afternoon tea. My whole experience was great, definitely worth staying here!!! 🥳

Great location, right by the Bund! There's an ICBC bank right across the street. The front desk kindly upgraded our room for free, and we got an amazing view of the Bund river!

The hotel boasts excellent transportation links, comprehensive facilities, and impeccable cleanliness. The river view is absolutely stunning. It's just a short walk across the road to the Bund and a few minutes to the ferry terminal. The breakfast is fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it!

Stayed here during the May Day holiday. The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk to the Bund, which saves you from holiday traffic jams. The breakfast quality is very good, and the room is clean and spacious. There are even cocktail tools and complimentary mixing ingredients and drinks in the room. The twin beds are 1.5 meters wide, much wider than the 1.2-meter single beds in many hotels, making it especially suitable for families with one child. The service is also very thoughtful. My child wanted to follow the delivery robot back to the room, and the staff patiently helped set it up. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to the Bund. It's also a 10-minute walk to Yuyuan Garden, City God Temple, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The hotel environment is comfortable, and the service is great. The butler service was particularly good! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai!

The room decor has a vintage feel, which creates a really nice atmosphere, and the value for money is pretty good. It's right by the Bund, and you can even see the Oriental Pearl Tower from the restaurant. The only downside is the lack of parking, which seems to be a common issue for hotels around the Bund. It's a minor flaw, but a flaw nonetheless.
