Howard Johnson Huaihai Hotel Shanghai

Another great stay at this hotel. This room was on the 15th floor so had a really nice modern shower. I will definitely stay at the Howard Johnson Huaihai Road again!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel manager, Lucy, warmly welcomed us and ensured a smooth and efficient check-in process. She kindly arranged a room on the 16th floor with a breathtaking view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was good, offering both European and local dishes. While the selection was not extensive, the quality of the food was very satisfying. One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its outstanding location. There are countless shopping opportunities within walking distance, with something to suit every taste and preference. Restaurants, cafes, and major attractions are also conveniently nearby. A special thank you to Lucy and the entire team for their exceptional hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. We would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Great location. Hotel is a bit tired and needs renovation. Very noisy in early morning from downtown stairs garbage area. But service is good.

#StayCation Meeting friends in the city since living on the outskirts is easier, so this hotel was one I wanted to try. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in the same area, and I feel that this hotel has been maintained quite well. It’s definitely not like the HoJo in America. I do feel the upper floors during the seasonal transitions can get either too warm or too cold, but the hotel and staff are good to address. I received an oscillating fan for my foreign temperature, which was appreciated. The breakfast is basic yet varied, as it has what everyone needs. The gym is really nice and the executive lounge looks relaxing. The views are good. I don’t know if there was a pool, but I didn’t see one. The bed was comfortable and they have bathroom necessities if you need them. Staff are strongly bilingual and the lobby is inviting. Enjoy the locals dancing at the park across the street, see an opera, or try any cafe pub and shopping within walking.m distance. Thanks for holding my bag all day long. Easy to SF Express to home if roaming around regardless. #HoJoChina is an exemplar model.

Room was very clean. Bed and pillows are super comfortable. Location is great. There’s hair dryer, robes and umbrella for you in the room (no slippers thiugh).
