Kingtown Hotel Plaza Shanghai

We had a great experience at this hotel! Very accommodating and friendly hotel staff who go above and beyond despite the language barrier. The front desk staff were very lovely especially Aby who treated us very well! Fantastic location as well - not too far from Nanjing Road and The Bund. Highly recommend!

Our overall stay at this hotel was good. The location is great, the rooms are clean, and all the staff were very friendly. We also received free welcome drinks and popcorn, which was a nice touch. 🥤🍿 A special mention to receptionist Ms. Lily — she was very helpful. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide 4 sets of bath towels in the room instead of just 2, especially for families. Overall, a pleasant stay! 👍

Nice view and good location. Convenient near a metro station and not far from Nanjing Road and other shopping malls. Very helpful staff during our entire stay.

The hotel was very nice. No bad smell in the room or the conditioner. No wet smell. Quiet location. The room was rather new. Beds are comfortable. Aby from reception was very nice! Overall we really liked our stay here. The only thing that was a little odd for me - the cleaning lady didn’t make our beds and didn’t wash the cups when we used it. Other than that - a very nice and pleasant experience. Lunch is amazing! We will come back to this place the next time we are in Shanghai. Good value!

The Kingtown Hotel is a decent mid-range option for tourists on a budget. On the plus side, it sits in a very strategic location near the city center and offers easy access to public transit although required walking past small alley. Anyway, the facilities are showing their age, only some rooms were renovated, and the breakfast variety is fairly limited. It is a good place just to sleep, but do not expect luxury.

Really good location, near to the centrer, close to the Suzhou River, it has Gym and laundry as well, nice staff - Maggie provided excellent service to us, thank you for het! - the lobby is nice. Everything is really hood. The breakfast was excellent, with the lot of choices. Thank you! We will cime back!

I am impressed with the hotel's interior design, as well as the voice command and robotic delivery services. The premises are clean, and the front desk provides excellent service.
