Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai

Had a wonderful gathering! It was lovely to catch up with family and friends at the Kerry Hotel during the National Day holiday. A special thanks to Carat, Wendy, and Shirley from the Kerry Club for their exceptional care. They went out of their way to grant me a late check-out and even gave me a small gift – it was incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! [chuckle][chuckle]

A month before the National Day holiday, I started planning our family trip with our 2.5-year-old. He's not really suited for crowded tourist spots, and as low-energy parents, we're not up for intense 'special forces' style parenting either. So, I opted for a 'staycation,' which is super popular on Xiaohongshu (xhs). I'd bookmarked several highly-rated family-friendly hotels, and Pudong Kerry stood out as the most satisfying from my research. It offered family rooms, a kids' playground, and direct access to a mall – incredibly convenient! I quickly booked a stay on Ctrip, full of anticipation. We checked in on the evening of the 3rd. The front desk lady was very polite and answered all my questions in detail. When I asked if an additional adult could accompany my child into the playground (the package included entry for one adult and one child, but I was worried I wouldn't have enough energy and we'd need to take turns looking after him 🤣), she agreed without hesitation. I'm really grateful for that, and it proved to be a lifesaver in the playground – we truly couldn't keep up with our child! He had an amazing time, and we parents were exhausted. Upon entering the room, we immediately saw the special tent, a highlight of the family suite. Forget kids, even I, a 30+ adult, wanted to crawl in and hang out for a bit! For the two days we stayed, this little tent became his 'secret base.' When we were relaxing in the hotel, he'd be in there watching Qiaohu (Chuckle) or playing with his toys. The hotel also gifted him a little kangaroo plushie. Wow, it completely won him over and became his 'best buddy.' Every night before bed, he'd ask, 'Where's my best buddy?' Hahaha, the innocence of a child really touches your heart every single moment. The kangaroo T-shirt was a bit big, but that's fine; he can wear it when he's older and we can come back to the Kerry Hotel again. During check-in, the bed rail and children's toiletries were all prepared, which was very thoughtful. The first round of the mini-bar was free, and they even provided cookies, which tasted pretty good. The only suggestion I have is that the bed rail felt a bit unstable. At the head of the bed, it was fine because of the cabinet propping it up, but the foot of the bed felt loose; if you nudged it slightly, it felt like it would fall. Later, I was worried he might roll off in the middle of the night if the rail gave way, so I stuffed pillows along the side of the rail, which solved the problem. Hotel breakfast is on the 1st floor. Booking a family room includes two breakfasts. The breakfast spread was extensive, with Chinese and Western options, noodles, wontons, bread, and pastries – everything you could want, and it all tasted good. Next to the kids' playground was a gym, which looked very good with plenty of equipment, but I didn't get to experience it as I was with my child. This trip was very satisfying, and I look forward to returning to the Kerry Hotel to unlock new experiences.

During check-in, we met Manager Liu, who had a slicked-back hairstyle. We really appreciate him answering our questions about local tourism; the hotel is connected to a shopping mall, which saved us a lot of hassle. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a bit old but well-maintained. Parking was free during the holidays, and there was even a robot delivering food – quite a nice touch.

The room was clean and tidy. We booked a family room, which included tickets to the kids' playground. This was an excellent value-added package. My child had a blast playing in the park, letting loose and having fun. The breakfast in the morning offered a wide variety of choices and tasted delicious.

My business trip stay was an excellent experience overall, and I'd like to specially thank concierges Dawson and Ethan, and front desk staff Nancy. Upon arrival, the doorman Ethan proactively offered to help with my luggage, and concierge Dawson guided me to my room, providing warm and attentive service. During check-in, Nancy at the front desk was efficient and professional, quickly processing everything. She was also patient and thorough in answering my various questions, and thoughtfully provided information on local transportation and dining options, which perfectly suited my business travel needs. The room was clean and quiet, with complete facilities, suitable for both work and rest. All three staff members were polite and courteous, and their attentiveness was evident in every detail of their service, easing the fatigue of business travel. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and conducting business. Both the thoughtful assistance from the concierges and the professional reception from the front desk left a great impression on me. This stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend it for business travel. On future business trips to this area, I will prioritize choosing this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a trade show and decided to try their buffet, which was quite good. The room was clean. The front desk service was excellent; they proactively called and arranged parking right in front for my car. Overall, a positive experience.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the exhibition, and the front desk staff proactively add interest (possibly referring to helpfulness or positive attitude). The breakfast is good. Parking is charged, but there are spaces available right in front of the entrance, and the front desk allowed us to park there, which was great. Recommended.

I chose Kerry Hotel for my business trip because of its convenient location. Evelyn at the front desk helped me arrange for a special pillow to be sent to my room. The staff also assisted with a late check-out. The service was excellent.
