The Da Zhong Airport Hotel is a very convenient option for a long layover, as it is located directly inside Terminal 1 of the airport.
Check-in was quick and easy. We booked a non-smoking room, and although we initially walked into the wrong wing and were worried because of the strong smell of cigarettes, our actual room was in a different wing and had no cigarette smell at all.
The room was quite small and a little worn, but clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay: a small double bed, desk and chair, armchair, private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hairdryer, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, and slippers.
Our overnight layover lasted around 14 hours, so we had breakfast in the morning. The selection was quite limited, with rice, salad, pasta, boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, coffee, and juice, but it was still enough for a filling breakfast. I would have liked a little more variety.
One thing to note is that breakfast is served until 9:30 a.m., even though some information says it is available until 10:00 a.m. Also, breakfast costs 30 yuan, which was a little confusing because I had booked a room with breakfast included.
Overall, a good and very convenient option if you just need a clean place to rest during a long layover without leaving the airport.
