Yan An Hotel

The hotel boasts an excellent location and the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. It's also very conveniently located for transportation, and the lobby is quite grand. The back garden is a lovely touch. The only downside is that it's a bit noisy due to its proximity to the elevated highway, but otherwise, everything was perfect.

So many tiny flying bugs! At first, I thought they were termites, but then I took some pictures and asked a friend in Shanghai, and they said no, they looked more like small flies. For the first two days, I wasn't in the room much, so I just dealt with it. But on the last day, right before check-out, they were literally flying into my face... I just took a quick snap, but there must have been dozens of them... It was a terrible experience. I told the front desk and even showed them the photos, but I didn't even get an apology. On top of that, I specifically requested *not* to have a room at the very end when I booked, yet they still gave me the innermost corner room. I just want to ask, why?! This was truly awful!

I've stayed here multiple times. It's really convenient for transportation. After checking out, I can head to Jing'an Temple or stroll around the malls. Once I'm done, I just come back for my luggage and head to the airport. There's a bus right outside that goes to the Bund, which is much easier than taking Line 2. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Plus, there are plenty of places to eat, and the drinks are great too!

I booked the Dongyuan, which is very quiet. It's in a small building at the back of the main building, by the garden. You need to use your card to access the elevator, which ensures no unauthorized people can come and go. The room has an old-school state-run hotel vibe, but it's actually quite comfortable to stay in. Housekeeping was thorough every day, and they provided 4 bottles of mineral water, 4 tea bags, and 2 instant coffee sachets daily. Coming back to the room in the evening to boil water and make a cup of tea was just fantastic. The hairdryer was in the bedside table drawer; I spent a while looking for it at first 😅. They also provide mosquito repellent tablets, so pretty much everything you might need is there. If you need anything else, you can contact the front desk via the in-room phone, and they respond quickly, which is great. WIFI is available in the room, along with cable TV with plenty of channels. There's also a small safe in the wardrobe for valuables. With the blackout curtains drawn, I slept straight through until morning, not knowing what time it was!🤣 Both the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

I always choose this hotel whenever I come to Shanghai. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the subway station. It's clean, and the environment is comfortable. Ever since my family stayed here for our trip in 2025, I haven't chosen any other hotel.

This is an older, established hotel with a great location, making it convenient to get anywhere. The room and bed were very comfortable, which I've experienced multiple times now during my stays. The staff are also very friendly.

The location is fantastic, very close to Jing'an Temple subway station, and convenient for getting to The Bund and Yu Garden. Bus No. 71 stops right outside and goes directly to The Bund. It's a garden-style hotel. I originally booked the North Wing, but because I was traveling with a 75-year-old, the front desk kindly moved us to the quieter East Wing to accommodate my elder, with a window facing the park. They provide four bottles of water daily, and the room is very spacious and kept clean.

Stayed at the Ronglv Hotel for my business trip, and it was really great value for money 👏. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and I slept very soundly. The front desk service was also attentive, and check-in was very quick. Parking downstairs was convenient, and there were plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time 👍.
