Wonderful location, not close to Metro stations but only 10 minutes walking. Beside the hotel plenty of different restaurants. The service is great and the staff is very kind. Breakfast is great as well. The rooms should be updated but great value for the price spent.

This hotel is one of the best options in its price range, combining quality and location. In major European cities, similar hotels can cost twice as much or more. The rooms are excellent, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated, as are the hotel’s common areas. Breakfast is outstanding, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff are polite and speak good English. Its location is very convenient—not far from the city center and easily accessible by metro. I always choose it when visiting Shanghai.

The facility is clean and nice. Ideally located nearby to restaurants, activities and more. The staff is superb. Thumbs up to Xue and Iris and all the others at the front desk -very helpful. Housekeeping staff great as well. I would recommend

Thank you and I will most definitely book here again. The stay was definitely worth the money!. It's 24minutes from a Western Restaurant called Mr Pizza which has delicious western cuisine.

Hotel is in the city center, easy for shopping and finding restaurants. There are subway stations but need to walk around 10 mins. There is Lanzhou lamian store 2 mins walking ;)

I have stayed regularly in the Jichen Hotel for many years. I have noticed the room vent had black mold and the head board cushion seems soiled. The breakfast is excellent with a good balance of Chinese and Western breakfast.

I was extremely satisfied with the hotel. The service was excellent, and the room was quiet and comfortable. The surrounding area was incredibly convenient for both dining and transportation. Breakfast was also good. Overall, it truly reflects the high standards of Shanghai. 👍 My only minor suggestion is that the mattress was a bit firm (though I understand this is a matter of personal preference). It would be wonderful if softer mattress options could be provided. All the best! 🫰

Great hotel for it’s price, not too far from the city centre, friendly and polite staff

Hotel sfaffs are friendly and very helpful. Good location, I can get my foods and drinks easily at nearby stores and malls. Travel with metro is convenient, just 8 minutes walk to nearest metro station.

I had great experience with this hotel, all of the staffs are super nice and helpful , they even upgraded our room for a room with bigger bed for free as on my second visit i came with my 9 year old son thanks so much to ms. ruby their pretty receptionist. And when we checked out their manager gifted my son a soft ice cream which made him so happy and he will sure not forget shanghai because of that act of kindness he showed to my son. I will sure stay in this hotel again when i visit shanghai next time.

The hotel is not located right in the centre of major attractions, but it offers a very clean and comfortable stay. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is good enough to start the day. Rooms are spotless and maintain a classic style, which gives the place a charming character. There’s also a nice café in the lobby and the hotel is well-suited for hosting events. Overall, a pleasant stay with good service.

I was delighted to discover the convenience of this hotel's location, with an Aldi supermarket and a selection of shopping malls in close proximity, offering a wide array of dining and cafe options. Despite its age, the hotel has undergone thoughtful renovations to essential areas, ensuring a comfortable and clean stay. The rooms are notably spacious and immaculately maintained. The staff's exceptional hospitality was a highlight of my visit. I would gladly choose to stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Shanghai.
